IIRC, before tuners, there was only one longer than 1 week event that wasn't immediately before a dlc, so assuming nothing funky happens, a longer than 1 week event will very likely/almost certainly mean a dlc for existing platforms as well which at minimum will include the new cars with the standard customisation currently available, as well as any fixes and whatnot

I was alone in an invite only session, which makes it even more strange. What makes even stranger is they always spawned in minanas.

you know what they could do with E&E?

Barn find cars, where you collect parts to build/get a full car for free/significantly cheaper and unlock it in the shops!

Or unlockable parts hidden around the map.

Why would they add something from Forza? Sounds very unrealistic they would do that.

The concept of barn finds didn't originate from forza, so they can easily just come up with them without forza's influence if they possibly don't follow that game series. I could see rockstar turning barn finds into some horrific freemode war, so I'm not sure how much I'm into this idea.

If there's one thing that they take from forza, it's should be their abundance of car horns on offer. I really think GTAO lacks in that department heavily when it comes to something as basic as this.

 

Surely from a technical stand point it wouldn't be difficult to add new ones, right?

Why are people speculating on a new contract at E&E release? We know what we’re getting, half a dozen cars and a special t shirt lol. We won’t see actual content until June or July and it will be available on old gen with a few exclusive items for the E&E players. I’d bet my irl house that this is the case.

A history lesson might be in order, sorry for the patronization!

 

In late 2014 Rockstar released an E&E version of GTAO. We got under-car neons, FPV, new foliage and other enhancements. People on old gen could play as before and got DLC content for another year. Only at the end of 2015 did Rockstar announce that they would no longer support old gen.

 

On March 15, 2022, you will be able to play GTA online as before, including the summer update, but you will NOT have access to the new graphics, enhanced draw distances and anything else included in E&E. If there's a new Hao Autoshop, you won't be able to enter it or purchase any of the cars. You may find that racing in GTA online becomes disadvantageous due to lower frame rates, too, things like that.

 

But don't worry, you will still be able to play GTAO, you just won't see anything new on March 15, and the annual summer update will be available to you as normal. You will have to upgrade your hardware eventually though.

I'd say give it a year before you start being pessimistic, R* knows about the console shortage. You really think they wanna miss out on that sweet Christmas cash? So yeah, no rush to transfer either if you still have friends on CG and wanna play with them. Me? I'm transferring ASAP, less tryhards lol

We'll see if event week will last until 15th, that would be good indicator about release date and i think there probably will be some info on friday anyway. Then again if new update won't come on last gen consoles then event week could remain standard until coming thursday. I'm curious if there will be some info about event week duration on pc, if it's until 15th while last gen consoles get standard week, that should surely mean that E&E coming same day on pc.

Found reddit post, this bug was at least present after the contract update. Nobody can tell you if they would treat is as exploit, i would say highly unlikely that they would wipe accounts for that, even correcting money, i don't know if they are even aware of it because if its costing them virtual cash they would rush to fix it in a day. They might know about it but someone mess it up badly then if they bumped cargo x3 with bug present. A lot of players probbably played hangar business this week and it would come to a point where you can't source anymore if you don't get rid of phantom crates, so they can't ban for something that is not players fault at all as contrary to other glitches as exploits you can't just avoid getting ghost crates, game is giving it to you with every source and gradually filling the hangar until there is no space left. 

As you know i sold whole bulk and if anything drastic happens to my character, then it will be evident for me that i won't ever support nor buy any R* product in the future, not that they care. Like you said when we played last time, imagine getting wiped for selling hangar, the worst paying business

Free crates was nice bonus addition  

... in the end I could not follow what is happening, math was all wrong calculating and keeping tabs (for solo player filling up to 10 in few type of goods) - one evening I sell 10 and it is on 0, and next morning when I look up it is 3

You sold any of the ghost animals crates that game is giving you with every source?

Yep, but I'm not some big grinder - I made in total bit over 3.1, and was filling different type of goods up to 10 - not just animals.

Don't really care about money, have more then enough, I just wanted to do some source & sell missions 

To be honest I'm not sure when & how I got 'ghosts', I think more of them was from changing sessions and getting out of game, didn't look that I get extra crate with every animal source (or i do but it will show on next log-in)

I will not risk my clean account to be wiped out bcz a freaking bug, glitch due the spaghetti code of the game that always something gets f*cked when they put a lot of things 3x $. I have enough money anyway.
