I've just had a ten minute test drive in it doing a Vehicle Recovery contract mission. It's f*cking stunning. So is the Shinobi, as long as I can get underseat pipes or a single on the side as an option, rather than the uglyass dual ones on it. Otherwise, splody head from frustration and a string of expletives for Rockstar at killing the styles on my dream GTA bike.

That final cutscene in his car after beating up Johnny Guns(?) And getting the phone back was cringeworthy at best.

Talking about that cutscene.

Looks like we were supposed to see him getting hit with the golf club.

Bc he has unique bloody textures and there are even particle effects which you never see bc if the final camera angle.

Looks to me like a last minute change.

From everyone I know in the crew I am in, those numbers would shoot up if they released more vehicles at once instead of the one a week nonsense. That's not fun and it just puts them more deeply invested into other games with more content than a single car.  Tuners had a lot of good cars up front too that I still use but the numbers really started declining when they were dragging out car releases, which made other games became far more enticing.  Actual clothes we wanted (especially for females) would have helped too and a 150% exp gain on rep might be nice. Things they could do but whoever is in control of the way things are released is an idiot.

Calling it now: Comet S2 Cabrio gets released in January, Christmas decals are a seasonal login reward in December ...2023. :beerhat:

(still amuses me that we'll get 'new' t-shirts unlocked periodically, only for the descriptions to read "Part of Gunrunning", because they've been in the game for four years already! :sui:)

When music becomes more important in a game than the game itself, that is already a big problem. Although GTA Online makes a lot of money, the content is poor in quality and very small throughout the year, IMO.

You're right. I took a break between October 2018 to April 2021 of this year -- came back to playing all of the content updates and they all felt somewhat underwhelming, the sheer number of vehicles released was the only thing that kept the satisfaction going. There should never ever be a 7 month wait between updates.

That doesn't mean anything, people are just not in the need to search info about it because it's been heavily marketed. Why would they just search «grand theft auto online»?

I 100 % stand behind this. Ever since R* started with dripfed vehicles, whenever that was, I just think the whole thing became an absolute drag. You get hyped and ready for the update to drop only to realize half or more of your most anticipated vehicles aren't even part of the launch. Instead you get major disappointment, then tedious waiting, then some more of it, until eventually everything has been released months later by which time the update has already aged, and is possibly even "done" for you (collectable trophies, awards, and so on). One anticipated car drop every few weeks or so is not enough to drag me back full-time. I wanted this and that car on day one when I actually engaged in that particular dlc gameplay.

It's a real bummer. That's all there really is to it and quite frankly, I personally think that is a real crap system R* has implemented. This particular update barely offered anything in terms of material items (cars/clothing) that appealed to me to begin with, so holding on to whatever dripfeed vehicles they store atm just made this update even weaker to me as well. I needed every little piece I could enjoy on day one.

Wise words. This is indeed a big problem. I remember when After Hours dropped and despite people begging for night clubs for a long time prior to it, most people seemed disappointed and just shat on that update. But in retrospect it really isn't a big question as to why that was. The bulk of its focus was put upon the DJ:s, music content, which isn't gameplay content. The music in turn only appealed to so many people, which is why I find it a bit odd that R* kept going with this design choice by releasing The Music Locker and then the Moodyman-centered crap. Now we have Dr. Dre who I believe appeals to a lot more players, but it's still too much music with limited appeal and almost like a secondary focus on actual gameplay. The FUN is just not there.

At this point it seems R* is becoming more interested in pushing for some kind of music party simulator than a criminal one. Overall it's becoming a poorer experience with the way R* does these music-themed updates. Just look at the player night clubs or especially the Music Locker, they've been dead places pretty much ever since R* added them to the game.

R* needs to rethink their future dlc designs if they're gonna stick with these music themes. We don't play GTA to partake in boring dancing "mini-games" at clubs or to watch cutscenes of Dr. Dre in the recording studio (as cool as I find it, being in the music/recording biz myself). I don't mind these features being in the game but it's minor side-content, not something more "major" like R* has pushed 'em as so far. It's kind of like R* trying to pull us into RDO by offering a can of free beans. Do they honestly believe those things are quality content and attractions?

Well, it's like that story of the boy, the old and the mule. He old and his grandson went to a village, the old was sit on the mule and the boy on foot. People said: "omg...look, poor boy, a chid...so young while the adult goes on the mule. After hearing this, the old guy puts the boy on the mule. Next town, people are like: omg, look, poor old man, on foot while the boy, being young could go on foot. Next town they both ride the mule: "omg...poor mule, two person on top, it's too much heavy. Next, no one in the mule, both on foot: omg, what fools, they have a mule and they both go on foot." Moral of the story: whatever you do, there will be some people who will not like/disagree.

See what i mean? Some people say: "DLC being drip-feed kills the dlc and some weeks ahead no one cares about it, even if their so long waited vehicle(s) arrive. And some: "we got all the content on day 1, now he are boredoom for the next 7 months". The problem is the fact that R* started doing less DLC's per year. So, i don't know, i think that if it's this system that will prevail even in E&E, then i think that drip-feed is lesser bad.

But i really will say just one thing: R* should stop doing 2013 interiors for vehicles. A freaking rolls royce cullinan having a soccer mom suv interior from 2013? Dafaq? While the suv porsche is on other level. Idk, if R* pick different teams and some have good taste or just logic while doing certain vehicles of how they should be or it's just one team and deadlines are on the horizon so they can't properly finished half of them.

What's the surprise of the lackluster reaction of AH? People got a DLC with 5 steps back in terms of quality of which they saw in the previous (older) GTA title version. Logically people were expecting something at least on the level of TBOGT. But, i guess that RDR 2 release f*cked up that DLC quality. I was expecting at least this stuff that we had in TBOGT:

- dancing mini-game;
- drinking competition mini-game;
- interactive dance with npc's and/or other players with the feature of "WC visits". Now, why i can imagine why this particular feature wasn't presented on it. Well...imagine the problems or "problems" (idk, maybe wasn't nothing special...but, also it could be) that you're an adult and are dancing with an underraged player that you didn't knew. "Oh yes...let's go do some virtual sex"...yeah...grey area.

The music locker i guess it was just one more DLC to promote music. And would be tricky to re-do or reform our personal nightclubs, bcz spaguetti code that was already explained by experts on that area here, that R* would probably get a lot of troubles doing so, like bugs, corrupted files, etc. But, i guess they heard some complain and add a little step into the "interactive dance with players", although they barely promoted it in their newswire and a lot of people still today don't know that now you can watch the characters of two players performing some animated sincro dance, but there's no interaction, you just press Q (on PC) within a player already dancing and the characters do by themselves some dance animations together.

The main problem with their "social spaces" is that they don't make them fun, they don't make them the best way to let players in fact do some kind of "social event" there, like "let's go there, the entire lobby to dance on the dance floor" bcz that would be pretty difficult, since the music locker dance floor is 90% occupied by NPC's, and for last, bcz they actually don't improve the Co-Op between players, like gives us an Arcade (public) that have a lot of pvp/co-op games, give us a coffee shop (public) with billiards, bowling and air-hockey...stuff like this that people enjoy and usually and commonly do in real life.

Geez, no Patriot for the christmas gift. Missed opportunity for them to release one of the most (if not the most) anticipated dripfeed vehicles in the entire game during this period. It would've been fun to test this offroader in the snow. Oh well.

Atleast it's better than Smoking Jackets or PJ'S from Exectives and other criminals from December 2015. From what I can tell there's still a few variants to be released despite literally not a single soul willing nor wanting to wear them.

I personally think that the people who design the items for release in the game does not have a communication pipeline set up with those that manage in game events.

"Hey Bill, I've just designed 10 t shirts and 3 liveries for Christmas 2021, make sure players get them" ... proceeds to make "seal mask" a log in reward. Absolute madness.

I'm I the only one who noticed that Franklin's Bagger looks different between cutscenes and gameplay during the mission "Fire It Up"? During the cutscenes it has a tail light, but once it ends it doesn't anymore, because it has different customization options applied.

I'll say something about drip-feed cars this time around, how this looks to me.

Military Patriot looks 100% like some 'event' car (like it could be out with some new add.mode or pvp maps), it is not part of the story or missions and it's bit dumb just to be out for 'nothing' 🙂... on the other hand new Granger, that is last on the release list, with all them 'low&order' type of upgrades to me looks 100% like it's coming with some type of new missions content (because it is also very dumb just to drop it in game for 'nothing' looking like that). Who knows, just my 5c hoping for some extra 🤷‍♂️

The update felt like more an advertisement for Dre’s new album than anything. I don’t mind a heavy music focus, on occasion, but the last three updates have had strong music-oriented content. And either rap or nightclub music at that.

Imagine if they had made a rock-oriented update, focusing on Los Angeles’ underground rock scene and the music history of the Sunset Strip and all that. Culminating in bringing back Love Fist as a fully-fledged music act. If Brendan Small can make Deathklok into a real band, then R* could’ve done the same for Love Fist.

This was definitly the point were we would have seen the bloody remains of jonny guns.
