Yeah the snow is a fun variation to the rest of the year and to get in the festive spirit. Too bad it’s not enabled today.

We get a "special" longer than usual event every time a new DLC is released, it bridges the gap between the extended pre-DLC event and regular event weeks.

 

DLCs are usually released on Tuesdays, which means the previous DLC ends on a Tuesday instead of Thursday, leaving Tuesday & Wednesday without bonuses, so they use a "special" event to include them.

 

Although this DLC came out on a Wednesday, they still need a special event to cover it.

 

Spoiler

- The extended pre-DLC event ended on Wednesday the 15th.

 

- The DLC came out on Wednesday 15th.

 

- The special event starts on the 15th & ends on the 23rd.

 

- The new event will start on the 23rd & we'll return to the regular Thursday schedule with it.

I hate snow in real life and I believe it has no place outside of the north and south poles, on top of mountains, and Russia. But, I love it in this game.

Quite likely as that's when E&E is releasing. Introduce the "new" version of Online with a new update, and previous gen receives the second to last (if not the last) update before they're left in the dust.

I highly doubt that they'd decide to end support for the last gen so soon especially since their player numbers are much bigger on Xbox One and PS4 over the Series X|S and PS5. They've more than likely delayed the release of it as much as they can knowing fine well that the number of people playing on new gen is much much lower than they'd hope for. At a point where the numbers continue to grow that's when they'll stop. 

 

From the information supplied by Wildbrick about the handling flags and testing for the new e&e performance upgrades, it seems like they're being added to those consoles as a buffer for - "hey look these are some of the reasons you should buy the new version", rather than what happened with 360/ps3 after "Ill Gotten Gains Parts 1 and 2" where the new gen started to get update related contents, like the Yusif amir gun finishes and first person interiors on the luxor jet and helicopter. From that point it seemed like they were restricted in terms of hardware performance but in this case the xbox one and ps4 can still handle additional content. You can bet your bottom dollar they'll surely add more and more "additional content" with future title updates exclusive to E&E but don't expect them to be left in the dust so soon - that would be a big no no in the eyes of Take Two.

When I saw the E&E (and delay) and the poor state that GTA Trilogy released in, I thought we would receive nothing in March 2022! However, R* have put in a lot of effort for The Contract update (though I'm surprised they didn't market it sooner). 

 

I think we will get The Contract 1.2 in March, a new VIP Contract with Rosalia or whoever, several new agency and Benny custom vehicles. Not a massive update, but a smaller extension to keep the community happy and a reason for us to login to the E&E edition. Maybe on launch day or a week after the day 1 patch.

 

Edit: What's the point of the MOTOMAMI billboards near tequi la la? Must be a hint of the next thing coming ...

- A full new content update? I fully doubt it.

- A bigging up of E&E features & capabilities and a few other small things until the next content update? Absolutely.

 

Now if only we could know what those E&E features & capabilities beyond some form of speed upgrades for certain cars are...

Snow is nice, but it sometimes have a tendency to overstay its welcome. For me it's a little of both sides. I like it because it can be beautiful and makes taking a trip to Cayo Perico more special (heading off to warmer climate for vacation) and taking a peaceful cruise around the state.

 

Then it can be annoying flying at night over the sea and sliding around.

Yeah, it’s about the same for me. I enjoy it for rally races (I will not get to drive pre nerf Calico or Sultan Classic RS in the snow :() and for certain missions or activities but after three days of snow I need a break. I definitely prefer getting more plentiful/shorter duration snow, two days at a time on the occasions is about perfect IMO.

I don't really expect an update, lately we've been getting them in the Summer and December.

 

Anything new will be available at launch for E&E users exclusively I reckon

A partir de ese momento, parecía que estaban restringidos en términos de rendimiento del hardware, pero en este caso, la xbox one y la ps4 aún pueden manejar contenido adicional.Puede apostar su último dólar a que seguramente agregarán más y más "contenido adicional". pero no espere que se queden en el polvo tan pronto, eso sería un gran no, no a los ojos de Take Two. 

in case the ps3 and xbox 360 was logical that it did not receive more updates but being ps4 and xbox one I still have doubts if it can support more updates
