i never saw any lamar and dre interactions on my play thru at all

There is a big part of long cutscene, when Lamar enters with bag of weed that Chop chew on... That scene I actually saw in invite only and after that tried to do mission but game said 'go to public'. I wrote about that part here on forum, and that looks like private/public session thing is a bug. Probably you had bigger bug if you missed that (I'm on PC)

It was easier, timings for NPCs was different, bit less SWATs - and mission ends half way through your trip to drop-off. Maybe it was all just bugs, maybe nerfing of "hard" missions

Well thats where the fun started: Spotted by the guards when I walked near the keypad, so I went in over the fence. Flanked the guards, and proceeded to the DJ installation, well think again because somehow rockstar thought it would be proper to spawn new guards behind you from about 10 meters (about 30ft i guess i dont know the exact math for it) so I diededed, after that I got killed within 10 seconds after I spawned by a chopper. So I opened task manager and force closed GTA.

Same thing happened to me - no prompt to put the security code in, thus negating the f*cking purpose of even doing the forced setup to get the lawyer's car.  I eventually quit the game after the third blown out tire NPC car and being disallowed to call in any of my own vehicles to chase the helicopter.  To make things better, since the Lawyer's car was now blocking the entrance I could not get the supercar out before its tires were blown out by magically spawning pursuing guards.  Interesting that there would be well over 100 private armed security for a mansion party.

It's not unheard of, take Larry Lawton for example; he studied at the Gemological Institute of America to learn about diamonds properly - if your gonna make a criminal career out of something specific, what better investment that properly learning about it? Lester was always giving Franklin the answers on a plate of who to invest into or who to invest in after their stock dropped and wait for the rebound during the Story Mode Assassination missions - it makes sense he'd learn to know the market and get those answers independently if he studied business, learned how businesses operate in tandem with competitors and such. Granted, it's not exactly needed first-hand for the Payphone Hits because the Stock Exchanges are disabled in Online, so the workaround is we get paid a cut of other clients investments.

I was completely caught off guard by the ability to play as Franklin and Lamar. I guess this is essentially story mode DLC that people wanted, just not single player DLC.

 

They need to give us more missions and storylines where we can play as V characters alongside the Online protag (P1 in mission = Online protag, if playing alone then other V characters are NPCs, P2 = Franklin etc. etc.). I enjoyed those tripping missions far more than the Dre contract, though that might be because the mission design in those felt bland and unimpressive (compared to the sh*t we've done in the past). That, and the banter and interaction between Franklin and Lamar is still amazing.

I did like the South Central arc for the Dre contract though.

Bruh...i never played GTA IV Multiplayer...how they have better drive-by mechanics? And not the f*ckery that happens in GTA Online? With hand positions all messed up in odd angles that you wouldn't hit sh*t.

Well...i will not say that everything was better, but some things were. And this bs of gta A having these and that, gta B dont, gta C got it again...for example, IV restaurants, billiards, GTA V not.

In the final mission, Tanisha visit ask Franklin to save Lamar and kill some people.... 

My feeling is similar to wiki, she is hypocritical and she just want to get rich.

Do she suit the regular people life? Guess not. She and her husband may have totally different values,....

Anyway, maybe R* just too lazy to make Franklin a wife so they reuse Tanisha
