Leaving aside the utter wankpuffery of the public session thing, my only real gripe is dripfeeding the vehicles. I think doing that was a bit over the top for what it is. Should have just been big bang.

I'm just thankful for the Ignus. It's pretty much perfect. I'm not into "luxury" cars so most of the rest of the lineup does nothing for me.

I normally like supers but that one in particular isn't all that special to me for some reason, I do like luxury cars so most of the cars in this update are good to me and I enjoy driving them.

 

I do need that Granger soon though, why dripfeed that one Rockstar -_-

So, what do y'all think about Franklin's portrayal in the DLC? Annoying and bad like Sessanta and KDJ, worse, or better?

Personally, I liked him, he did have quite the upheaval since the 8 years we last saw him, moving up in society and what not. Unlike the Tuner NPCs, Franklin is realistically an 'equal' to the GTA Protagonist through the events of V (even though he downplays himself as just a manager and you being the owner), he doesn't talk you down and treat you like you're supposed to earn their respect despite being the investor. Hell, even Lamar is pretty chill even if he teases you about how far both you and Franklin have come. Definitely as good as Pavel, both join my bro club now.

He is one of the few npcs that actually feels like a bussiness partner and one of the few that actually respects us (the other ones being Imani, Pawel, Georgina New Uncle Lester and maybe a little bit Mini Madrazo).

 

I liked that little touch during the yacht mission where he asks: "What? You own a Yacht AND a Penthouse. Who the f*ck did you rob?" and Imani is like: "From what I can see, Everybody."

Except for Lester during the Casino Intro thats the first time a Character actually recognizes what we did.

I really hope I'm worng, but so far all my predictions (DLC being about Dre's Phone, Armory basicly a reskinned ammunation, Soundcloud Rappers being fake) regarding the contract have come true.

 

I really hope we get Lamars Youga or something else from the dripfeed, but I dont expect it.

honestly, the H1 alone makes this the best update ever, plus the missions are great, the property is great, the qol changes are great, best update by a mile

No, not really...but i wouldn't say that wouldn't be a possible OG gta bussiness to come to GTA Online. At least open more strip clubs around town...also i noticed new strippers in that franklin's mission to vanilla unicorn, so why aren't they being added to free mode?

Agree with you. Apart from the super cars that are nice and the bikes, at least the shinobi that it's a style i like more, saved the vehicle list...but apart from the porsche suv, the rest is lame as f*ck...jubilee...a freaking rolls royce with an interior of a 2013 soccer mom's van... the baller and the other that i don't even remember the name, i mean...basically quite sh*tty...i almost can't distinguish the older baller to this one. The lampadatis i didn't really like, neither the victor nor the unreleased one which will be a sedan, then that freaking youga...and a mule?! Are we really getting a mule as drip-feed car? The new buffalo is cool. But overall a freaking waste of slot spaces to me.

All the behicles i'm interested in are the sian, the buffalo, the cayenne and the bikes. That's all the vehicles i will buy from this dlc.


P.S.: idk if someone already noticed, but i didn't read the last 40 pages, lmao. But, i think there's a new animation for the auto shop deliveries, now, if you screw the car, the npc's will get pissed off.

P.S.2.: There's already some festive surprise, or special itens datamined?

The patriot mil spec needs love because it's a H1 Hummer which deserves respect. The buffalo and granger 3600XL are the most exciting cars to be honest.

I think that's what I really like about this update, that we're treated with respect. We're the probably the richest and most well- connected people in Los Santos, it was about damn time we were treated like it.

The ride from the Redwood Dirt Bike Track to Tequi-la-la in the mission "OG Kush" is the funniest sh*t ever in this game, I started dying of laughing as soon as the weed van started catching on fire. "Let's just ride straight down Eclipse Boulevard in a blaze of glory n****!"

Oh God... okay, speculating REALLY far ahead here, I mean proper down-the-line speculating that would satisfy my former jump-the-shark Doomsday 2 hype of 2017-2019 without ruining all the healing to GTA Online that 2019 - 2021 has done.

Halloween 2022: Cliffford's Revenge Event

 

Gameplay:

- Lester sends us a text about one of his programs flagging traces of Cliffford activity on the wire in certain locations around LS and we should probably investigate.

- Arriving at one of these areas will spawn a self-driving heavily armoured weaponized vehicle (Matte Black, Hot Pink Neon Lights & Blue Headlights or vice versa) hell bent on killing us.

- Destroying them all will allow Lester to roughly triangulate the area where they first became active via there on-board GPS data - and lead straight to the only source of Cliffford Base Code on the planet.

- Upon arriving there and searching the area we find out who found the Cliffford Base Code Keychain from that ambigious note the Doomsday Act 3 finale left us on and kill them - Aliens with Alien weapons?

 

Reward(s):

Cliffford Base Code Key Chain (The one Avon wore).

Cliffford Livery on all Mk2 Weapons (i.e. an illuminated PNG of the Cliffford Logo, non-colourable)

Cliffford Army Clothing (The Scouter Eyepiece, Utility Vest with an illuminated Cliffford Logo, maybe even some streetwear, T-Shirt, Track Pants with the Logo on one of the thighs, Multicoloured Illuminated Sneakers/Military Boots)

 

Tell me we still don't have the evidence to support such an event being possible - we now have RC Personal Vehicle's via Imani's Tech being canon on the lore side of things and we have Christine Car from this years Halloween Event on the programming side of things.
