RDO is slowly becoming the canned single player DLC for GTA V

 and 2 fillers (March-April and maybe September-October) with the Quality and Quantity we received between 2016-2018...

RDO's prioritization likely shifted to GTAV E&E (this likely having higher priority than Trilogy), GTA Trilogy and a bit to GTAO update.

It's a huge company. Don't they have AT LEAST have different teams to work on projects simultaneously?

 

Its infuriating to say the least if they really pulled devs from the online team just to fix the trilogy. I mean Jesus Christ they are a billion dollar company!

They should also do car packs each month like @KennyB66 stated in the Vehicle wishlist topic, they can do months such as German car month and etc. To basically compete with the likes of Forza. R* should also do weapons packs each month as well. Since every time the dripfeed is done, the game just gets dry very quickly.

Great idea, i agree but then garage space problem Will persist...unless they stop the bullcrap and give 20/30 slots per dlc

Reportedly R* has over 2000 employees and 1000 of those are game developers. 

 

Considering how much they have been scrapping the bottom of the barrel with GTAO, the bug fixes for the trilogy came out quite early and fixed most most them(but not all of them) and RDO has been given little to no attention...

 

(seriously though, RDR is not even a good game to make an GTA Online experience out of, it's a game meant for story DLCs, it's a no wonder why the game's failing whereas GTAO is thriving, I do not understand how the hell did R* and T2 did not see this problem when they conceptualized RDO)

 

I think it's safe to say that most of their devs got their hands full with their next big game project.

 

At least that's what I want to believe.

It's not "them" as in the devs my spanish friend.

Its "them" in terms of the company, making the decisions.

The people in charge are making ridiculous decisions. They can easily hire more people and have them exclusively work on RDO.

In fact bringing fresh minds to work on it would be extremely beneficial to the game. 

New less "saturated" minds not the old team that's understandably tired going from one project to another.

We don't even know if E&E will be free, it should be for PC because it's basically the same game, but PS5 have it free for first 3 months fro those who have PS5 so they can claim it while those who are late and on XBOX will probably have to pay and it wouldn't surprise me if it's the full price for the same games on current gen consoles or even the PC. They done it for DE which was bad so why they shouldn't do the same for E&E and sell it for full price claiming it has some ''new features''.

Well not quite as easily as games industry positions are sometimes very hard to fill.  I believe dev teams juggle between DLC projects, there aren't specific fixed teams for GTAO and RDO, that on top of people working on E&E, GTA VI and what not so... It's a shame RDO seems to have been deprioritised but maybe @Tez2 is on to something with this being related to E&E releasing in Nov originally before being delayed.

Waiting for January before fully judging what's happening with RDO.

Iam totally aware of the free updates since release and Iam very grateful for those, but c'mon is Rockstar we are talking here, multibillion dollar company, if they want to re-re-release GTA V "Expanded and Enhanced" in My opinión would be very lackluster if they keep this 2 dlc fórmula per year...and we cannot forget how they destroyed the trilogy and how they mistreat RDO players too...

Since they have 3 months, they have plenty of time to implement and update the emergency vehicles and add more side games well like Basketball. They can also add more detail in car interiors too. No excuse for them whatsoever.

Now is the time, more than ever, for R* to ditch the idea they can keep going with the 2000's bi-annual appearance in monthly gaming magazines style of communication on their own website & socials when it comes to their live service titles.

 

That's my thoughts on the matter as someone whose never played RDO, simplified right down to a single sentence and free of instant emotional reaction.

A filler dlc could be...Open the mall and add small sized robberies, bring back Vincent! Or add freemode jobs to get AP points...filler does not mean pvp or races as the only option.

I mean as much as I'd like to see an extra whole city in GTAO I don't think that's gonna happen now after all this time, and when they're probably focusing on the next game  Would be quite the extra undertaking to get LC into GTAO vs your regular content pack.

Red Dead Online failed because they thought that they'd actually get away with being greedy f*cking cows right out the door instead of waiting patiently until the players poured in like they did with GTA Online. Secondary currency that's difficult to obtain without paying? Things that cost only this premium currency? If I didn't know any better, I'd think Red Dead Online was a Clash ripoff. It's f*cking embarrassing to even be seen playing it.

Bro...don't crumble my hopes...you never know if they aren't doing LC polishments and etc., in order to be put into Online. Even if it's just a small team of 4 people placed in the basement of the company building working on it as the "GTA Online backup plan C". Idk, R* usually are visionary and they plan very anticipated. And it will got the ideal opportunity to see the light of the day: E&E. Bcz, one thing is for sure, although people will get pissed if E&E will be just a minor graphical improvement - and now being burned with the backlash from DE - there's no way that it will be a shot on the foot if R* don't do anything substancious with the E&E.

Hope they learned from it and don't introduce that bullsh*t on GTA Online II; I still play GTAO because it's one of the only online games where I can get everything without paying a dime.
