I've been thinking about it since the event week newswire post but I guess maybe they are thinking a 'double' announcement next week so we get news about both Red Dead Redemption Online and GTA Online together.

 

Unless I missed something RDR hasn't had it's DLC yet so I am thinking they plan to do both together that week, maybe not both on Tuesday but thinking announcement for RDO with it's event ending on the 6th then we get the GTA Online announcement on the Thursday with more info to follow...

 

How did the updates go last year, I seem to remember RDO was first then GTA online the next week  but perhaps my memory is failing me.

 

The 14th is good though as I have nothing 'scheduled' so I may well 'drop in' for a look that morning!

 

 

Idk what's happening in RDO lands...R* didn't announced yet anything related to that DLC, right? And since we are like more or less one week from GTA Online update and they aren't doing a gap of one week towards RDO dlc in order for people focus themselves playing it (this of course in case the dlc will not drop next Tuesday for example), then, yep...R* really are leaving alone the RDO updates, maybe indeed there's not too much people playing it.

Yeah i remember that vividly lmao. Playing Minecraft at 11PM when out of nowhere i get a notif from R* on IG saying "GTA Online: Arena War coming tomorrow". Gotta be one of my favourite "tf" moments

The difference in that situation would be; given what Cayo Perico was in terms of an update, that would've been R* working with the same level showmanship as this host:

When i had my previous pc, i was running like 15 fps in the AW modes...that was one key factor for me not like them.

But apart from that, there was the damn OP bike...AND THE FREAKING PEOPLE THAT DON'T KNOW TO PRESS "CONTINUE"/"CONFIRM" IN ORDER TO START THE DAMN THING, THEN 1 MINUTE UNTIL THE TIME GETS TO ZERO IN ORDER TO START.

Arena wars is not Bad but the AP points grind is horrible, if they put another way to get those points like vehicle vip work using arena vehicles or something similar...some modes are fun too but without bonus lobbies are empty.

As a huge Mad Max and Twisted Metal fan, I lost my sh*t when I saw the Arena War reveal. The structure of the modes and the progression was garbage, but the vehicles were a dream come true for me, first time I spent 30 million on a single update

Yeah, i'm right there with you. It may not have been executed the best, coupled with the AP system, but i think it aged quite well and to this day i like to replay the modes with my buds

 

Cars are also wild and wacky, and well you can make Max Rockatansky's Ford Falcon Interceptor, so.... yeah. That's a major bonus for me

Me on the other hand, never bought one. And maybe people are struggling now with garage space bcz they have a lot of arena war vehicles.

Yea, my AW garages is filled with at least one vehicle from AW, not a lot, but  probably around 10 slots are occupied, thinking if i should get rid of them with next dlc because if they gives us only 10 slots and  more cars where majority could be good ones, i would have to do just that, but my compulsion to have vehicles that are collecting virtual dust for years is keeping me from selling them for now. Because they are expensive even if i sell 5 of them i could have cash that would probably buy me vehicles on day one of the update not counting dripfeed, not that i need cash though.

Personally a Tuesday or Thursday DLC announcement would be ideal, a proper ... big teaser or some teasers for the upcoming days would be amazing.

 

Yet even with the new DLC, i have my doubts for it, after all the problems with the Trilogy and the PS5/XS E&E ... i think the DLC will be somewat undercut in terms of content. (maybe outside of the main content aka The Fixer, Dr.Dre or whatever).

 

 

People talking about AW, concerning the main arena rides, i kept my Apocalypse Imperator in a stock base for my muscle car garage and a stock Impaler for my exec. garage, outside this ... i got the Schlagen GT, Tulip and Vamos).

 

Arena rides (a little bit expensive) and modes are fun but they are undervalued because of the pathetic rep system, same situation with the Tuners DLC, good concept, bad execution. (also Street Races and Pursuit Races in the creator when R*).

 

Garage space it's a hard topic to talk about, from people which will defend the +200 car space, while using at max 10 rides, people which in fact uses all the cars, collectors, themed-garage fellas, grumpy ones which thinks it is too much ... for me if they can put even more garages/car slots, do it. (i have like 15-25 remaining car slots to use since a long time TBH, so i don't care).

 

 

I hope this DLC they give us some newer bikes (PLS ROCKSTAR GIVE US NEWER RICE ROCKETS), proper clothing like new hoodies, jackets, shirts, jeans, shorts, flip-flops and new glasses. (and i hope to not see newer weaponized vehicles, FFS).

 

Also i liked the thematic clothing, the LS docks clothing and the Lost MC clothing is a nice touch, hoping for new missions with this system (those specific contracts were the best). (Of course not with Moodyman, no MF's allowed).

Arena War would've been a great DLC had you been able to play the games solo against AI cars. The deathbike also ruins a lot of the balance in those modes. Aside from that though, the clothing, weapons, and other content was great. The Up n Atomizer is still one of the most unique and fun weapons, and news flash, its NOT Overpowered and doesn't ruin the game.

I agree about the atomizer and the AI cars.

In general, I really like the very basic idea of the arena addon, but I really didn't like the setting (doomsday, future stuff, etc), it should have really been arena games that have always been in the GTA Series since 3D, blood ring, hot ring, dirt track, maybe a new bmx one. I would have liked that way more than all that weird fantasy stuff...

I do vote because it deserves it for the amount of dlcs and content that it gives, few games would not last that long (there are) but a gta also remains

and they will say that take two that killed the story mode dlc and all that but
I don't care, it's your problem, not mine XD
Also not that the story of gta 5 is super bad? So why bother in the story mode dlc

Garage space it's simple, there is more cars in Game that garage spaces, so players like me that are collectors and have too much cash and nothing to spend on it are deprived to get more cars. Some people Will Say: "bUt YoU cOlLeCt vAnilLa CaRs fRom tHe sTrEet" (not My case) and others Will Say " BuT Do YOu dRiVe aLl oF YoUr cArS" l, and i Will Say i try to vary My daily drives as much as i can, and Even if i don't use them all...in wich form affects You if i have more garage space?...why i cant Buy more cars, cars that currenly i can't own? 

I seriously despise the players who are against more garage space just because they have enough or are too broke to Buy more garages and Cars.
