Wow, wasting customer supports time AND insulting them because you can't handle poor luck with RNG over a dumb necklace you'll forget about next week... I'm sorry but you really came off as an entitled prick in that ticket. Not sure how someone could screenshot that and share it thinking they would look like a victim

So he us wasting customer supports time because he is using customer support exactly for what they are intended for? Solving issues and answering customers (players) questions.

 

 

And calling their response bullsh*t is not an insult, its pretty damn accurate. If they tell you to wait 72 hours for an item that should unlock imidiatly according to the newswire than either R* forgot to brief their extern support or the support guy doesnt get proper information before responding to the customer and just replies something that fits.

 

You and I may not care about the item, but he does. And I can understand why. Having basicly every unlock or giveaway is pretty rare.

I've had dealings with support that equal this level of moronic stupidity on their part. I reported a glitch with video proof and it took 5 back and forth emails of increasing frustration before someone acknowledged it was a glitch and not something that required I "delete the cache and reboot the system".

 

The company makes BILLIONS off us each year, the least they could do is have knowledgeable people answering the email.

I was referring to the part where he said "understand the game, it's sad when players understand more than customer support"

 Customer support aren't devs, they have guidelines they follow based on what type of issue is being reported. 

 

and yes I do think it's a waste of time to use customer support because you want them to just give you an item instead of earning it, even if the RNG sucks. Considering he got the necklace anyway, it's clear there was no glitch with his game. You wouldn't contact an MMO's customer support demanding they give you an item because you ran a raid multiple times and didn't get what you wanted. Customer support is for real problems that a player can't fix themselves

Support is outsourced and that's why Rockstar is a billion dollar company. Actually competent customer service costs money. So reporting a glitch to Rockstar Support is like reporting a bug in Google search to YouTube India.

I'd have to agree. It's only about a 1 in 1000 chance to get the same one of two items in 10 straight business battles, but with GTA Online's player base that's still like a hundred players this would have happened to.

Well its a fact, the players do understand the game better than the support.  That aint an insult its simple facts.

Is that the supports fault? No. Its R*s fault for outsourcing support and not briefing them accordingly.

So just because it worked after 11 trys that means that there wasnt a glitch? That doesnt make sense dude.

It's not a glitch, it sucks but the Event Cargo is determined before you even pick it up! Each and every cargo for the event instant will be a necklace if the one you got was it, I'm the opposite I got necklaces three times before I finally found an instant where the reward was shades(There was a fourth but I have no idea what the reward was as I actually DID experience a glitch, that one where the corona doesn't register you're there and left you deliver!)

Logic struck, and I was gonna post this in the Things You Didn't Know About GTA Online Thread. But this is some proper; "please give me a reason other than potentially broken animation/gun clipping into arm that this can't make it into the next update".

 

The Flare Gun is intentionally programmed so you can aim straight up with it if you're holding aim.

 

If you hold the fire button really light to ready it to "fire from the hip" then let go of the aim button when aiming straight upwards, it'll snap back down to the maximum fire-from-hip angle of any other weapon in the Pistol category. Assuming the weapon data is handled the same way as vehicle data, that being each weapon has a list of numerical values covering rate of fire, damage per shot, etc... surely this wouldn't take any amount of time to program. It sounds like a case of Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V the number that's currently sitting in the Flare Gun's "MaximumAimPitch" value into the same value slot of every other weapon in the game?

 

It's not like it would even need bug testing since it's already something that we're intentionally able to do in game, just with one specific weapon in order to make a method of communicating in-game without messaging or microphones work properly.

Well there sure won't be a vehicle or weapon until they update. Just the clothes and prison uniform, it'd be nice if they hint at a vehicle coming as a reward for owning Definitive Edition

Killer Car just appeared in Casino front doors for me. Wasn't on fire, just followed me in my car around an bit. Took a shot, nothing. There was no red dot on minimap. 

 

Was that it, or was it bugged?

When you get out of middle school and one day get a job you'll realize how embarrassing this comment is. People out here getting paid less than minimum wage to listen to angry nerds take their frustration out on them and then getting treated like sh*t because they don't have the desired answer on their piece of paper R* gave them of solutions to common issues. Their life probably sucks more than yours and you say "f*ck em" because oh no my videogame didn't give me instant gratification, better blame it all on some guy who probably can't even afford a system to play the game.

Bro...idk what's the discussion here, i think it started by somenone saying that some other guy was rude to the support team. Ok, two things: yes, there's no need to not be educated with anyone, no one is your slave, you should be polite even bcz in this cases it's not a f*ck up by the support team and if you're rude you're just digging your own grave. Some years ago by the time near the update of the Smuggler's run, a player from my crew said he did 22M in order to have enough money to buy some planes bcz it was something that he really loved. But it was a time where R* when into a wipe hunt for modded money, etc., he says that the money were legit and he was a legit player, nonethless R* toke away his money and he went ape rage towards the support being very rude, like probably insulting even their mothers (no joking) and that didn't helped him at all bcz he didn't receive the money back and they said that the money was not legit, lmao.

But 2nd, you are right when saying that they are there to do their job, and their job is to help players with support, bcz...they are the support. Now i don't know if that some outsourced thing, what i know is in fact they can indeed f*cked up things and i have a traumatic example of it: i always was a legit player and i always reported modded money that here and there landed on my head by some hacker that i didn't asked for, so last time i was receiving 44k modded money, and i killed myself until i got that money out of my pocket (i didn't put it on the bank), so probably R* would not even noticed that and they wouldn't somehow by mistake getting the math wrong and take away from me more money or even a ban, idk...people in gta tend to get a little paranoid when he heard for those youtubes that R* yesterday, that R* today, made a huge money wipe/accounts wipe, which probably are kinda of clickbait at some extent, but nonethless, a legit player, or better saying, a legit grinder player, get all affraid of R* think that their huge amounts of money are modded money, so, that's why i reported the situation just to get clear conscience. Guess what...i told specifically what happened that and that i toke away the money by killing myself until pockets empty, the person who toke my ticket then replies: blablabla...we are sorry, blablabla...oh, and we noticed some "incorrect stats" in your account can we correct them (like, we will do it anyway, we are just being polite, lmao)? I then say sure, already feeling something was about to get ugly, and asked which stats, but no answer, days later another person toke that same ticket and replied: "hey, we correct your stats, and we are giving you 4M to use it as you please".
Result: R* support toke away from me at that time 341 freaking millions dollars of legit money!!!! I don't know how they f*cked up that sh*t so badly, if was some interns taking the lead into dealing with my ticket, what i know is that they did a terrible job and a mistake, very unprofessional of their part. It lost my sh*t but when i replied i knew that i needed to be calm and i was polite...it toke me 1 week and like 2 tickets (like 1 ticket was the same, it was just another reply from my part, but the person who answered it, didn't gave a sh*t) and then a new ticket and also printscreens of my stats and the profits of my bussinesses, for some blessed guy toke the time to care about my ticket and correct the mistake. And this is why since that episode, i never talked again with R* support bcz trauma...f*ck it if i have one or two lost t-shirts...which matter in fact, i do.

Seeing rockstar dropping parodies of there games as arcade cabinets , we can expect more arcade games like these in future for e.g the warriors or max payne ( just look how rockstar changed manhunt to camhedz )

Folks, i encountered another UFO. This time it spawn above the "alien village", for those you don't know, in this location where you can see the UFO there's a house and in the entrance they have a "welcome sign" saying "alien village" or something like that, all i can remember is they have there a painted green alien face.

I would just add the environment...you know, that creppy one that we have in slasher, also, we could have the city with less lights, but idk how hard would be that to do.
