Go to that edge in Paleto Bay between 10PM and 3AM I believe and it should be there. I assume there will be a sighting per day or something?

Just tested, you can encounter it repeatedly every night in a single session!

I wonder if this is part of the "Sightseeing Event". I also wonder if there's an unlockable of some sort tied to these UFO's "sightseeing" the area.

It is part of that. I assume there's more to it but we don't know yet.

Lol. I was just coming to the board to ask if this was a known thing. Saw it on the edge of a peninsula up near Paleto Bay somewhere around 22:00 (in game, about 6 am est real time) while I was practicing flying with my Hunter around some islands offshore. Saw it off in the distance and thought, at first, it looked like some new Seattle Space needle-type building. I flew closer to investigate and realized it was a ufo with a beam of light coming down from it. It then proceeded to vanish right before my eyes.

I was just watching the Army of Thieves trailer and it made me realize we lacking former president masks in this game.  If that’s not possible then we need Jock Cranley and other in game politicians.

So I saw the UFO myself just now without knowing where it spawned, my guess was Mt Chiliad so I drove up the west coast and even though I knew I was going to see a UFO I still got goosebumps when I saw it in the distance. Cool thing happened for me though, when I drove up and it disappeared, it started thundering. Not sure if that's scripted or not. Anyway, surely there's got to be some kind of unlock from this? I'm going to try shooting it next time

 

Edit: saw it again, shot at it with a sniper and landed some Oppressor missiles on it, no reaction. Oh well. Also later at 4am I was at LSIA and there was a flash of lightning and thunder just like there was when I got close to the UFO.

Also every night at 4 am there's a lightning strike. Frightened me at first, then I realized it wasn't raining and I got a little worried.

I opened fire at the UFO & it released some sort of an EMP burst that killed my B-11 Strikeforce.

 

 

I'll keep messing with it when I encounter it again and report back if something happens.
