Well, I think the idea with a lot of the DLC updates and free roam additions has been to facilitate roleplaying. Not that your character becomes any one thing, 24/7, but now you have an easier means of pretending for a little while if you want. Lowriders, Tuners, Bikers, etc.--so many of these additions let you either pretend to be a specific type of criminal, or at least they bring that particular flavor to the new activities. So I imagine a mafia update would be very much the same way. Not that we are now Italian gangsters, but the NPCs, businesses, and activities in such an update would be.

Also on a side note:  The update doesn't have to be italian centric in its themeatic approach to a cosa nostra dlc as it can be something to do with the Armenian mob as they dress stereotypically similar to the Italian -american mafia (tracksuits, suits) and pursue similar business ventures like construction rackets which would be a better fit for the LA setting as there's not much Italian influence in the west coast in a crimey sense. 
 

Though i imagine they could bring back phill in one way as fan service but also to further reinforce the true canon ending like with the tao cheng - death wish saga.

The problem here is that you have the possibility of alienating a potentially large chunk of your player base by putting out one DLC over another.

 

There would be infighting, boycotts, accusations of vote manipulation, etc.

 

Imagine this:

 

We're given the choice between a Sanfierro or Las Venturas map expansion and ONLY ONE expansion will ever be released.

 

If 60% chooses Las Vanturas, the 40% who wanted Sanfierro will feel ripped off and if even 10% of them never play the game again, that millions of players and 10s of millions in revenue lost where as if they just spoonfed us a Sanfierro expansion only, 100% of the fan base would eat that sh*t like its ambrosia.

The problem with online voting, for sure, is that we would definitely end up driving around in the new "Benefactor Hitler did nothing wrong". 😁

I didn't came here for quite some time. So...what's the news? The last thing i heard was Tez saying on Twitter that basically there's some lines of code showing that there was some Nightclub missions (like maybe a Heist or something, it could be even other mini-heist from KJD and Sessanta) and he mentioned that wouldn't be surprised if there's a Tuners part 2 on the way in December.

They added a ton of checks to the nightclub script, because they now have a whole menu within their developer creator letting them customize the Nightclub within a mission environment. It features both the Nightclub and Business Hub, but mainly focused on the latter. As an example, think a mission where the nightclub is a non-fighting zone, while weapons would be allowed inside the Business Hub.

 

This was either a cut contract, or expandable content for the next update. Maybe they want to take their time with it to feature new DJs?

 

Worth noting, back when the LSSS update released, it also featured a whole new menu within the developer creator that ended up being used for Cayo Perico.

 

EDIT: If the next update features changes to the Nightclub, then that would be their opportunity to fix the Speedo Custom god mode glitch.

After hours part 2, done right could be a good dlc imo...

Regardless the t-shirts founded in the files connected to the upcoming GTA III 20th Anniversary... I have a crazy dream that they Will introduce content vía background update or whatever is called with some content, like some Cars (i think i Saw a Banshee teased somewhere???) Maybe some mission or ad.mode...iam.getting delussional here nvm...:kekw:😬

Imagine doing missions as solomun as in the vídeo "customer is king"... definetly the hub part of the nightclub has potencial...i just hope kdj is not involved

Yeah i'm not getting my hopes up for this. They already had so many opportunities to fix this glitch. Why is this glitch so hard to fix in particular? Do they need to rework the entire nightclub spawn mechanic?

I'm betting the Phantom Car is jus tgoing to be a Red Tornado or Peyote. Still, it might be something interesting whenever it appears. Better have your cameras ready!

I'm getting flashbacks to the final mission in Vice City - fighting off the bad guys whilst watching your money trickle away. 

 

What I mean to say is, what if Rockstar implemented Nightclub raids where we have to defend our amassed product from Cops/NPCs (or players?) that have breached the warehouse doors..? Much in the same way as MC / CEO warehouse raids, but without the "Everything's been stolen and you've got to get to the truck containing everything" bit. 

 

Or it'll be a new Adversary Mode location.

It took them this long to Remember to make a Christine parody in this game, even though the Tornado has been in the game since the beginning. 

 

Well, I hope we can keep the car and it has some perks to make it interesting, otherwise it's just a Tornado with a fancy paintjob and red headlights.

I just want a double meet rep event. I’d love to get to level 250, but I’m tired of playing bumper cars and watching police materialize in front of me before promptly disappearing in literally every pursuit race I’ve ever participated in. I wanted items that could be earned and not purchased, but I was hoping it would require skill and not a crippling alcohol addiction to sedate my ass enough to tolerate more than a thousand of these races.

i had found stuff about the phantom car months ago.

like had found the partilce file and the coords in the ugc file.

the fire effect will be different i think since it has different particles for bonnet, door etc.

but yeah, i can´t wait

Sorry my ignorance about the word "Bussiness Hub" but, that translates to the floors of the online character nightclub where the ilegal goods are pilled for future sell?

Tbh, isn't this more of a reference of that easter egg of GTA San Andreas where people would spot a abandon "Glendale" (i think it was the name of the car) in the forest that would "drive by itself" but it was a debunked easter egg that turned out not to be a "ghost car", but bcz (and here i will start giving a noob explanation) the fact that the game had their software limitations and further things on the horizon would loading just when you were more closer to the area, it made the car "lose the brakes" and since it was already on a hill, the car felt down the hill and there was nothing about a "ghost car", only a result of software rendering limitations.

P.S.: another hint of the remaster/remake trilogy coming?
