also, another thing that I've noticed, is a LOT more people are wanting a Trucking business. and with that starting to gain traction, I got a song some of you may know (I would LOVE a Trucking update)

When I entered the car meet last evening and got close to the testdrive cars a prompt appeared that told me to press Y to destrive the car and X to buy it. I have not seen this before and I had to enter the cars to be able to testdrive them before yesterday.

That prompt has been there since the DLC release. This way you can also buy the test cars with the customization that is on it, excluding the yet to be released car of course. Like the test Calico had pure white stock wheels for example, but these reset to alloy if you're on PC.

There's a Phantom Wedge at the docks with security guards surrounding it. I stole that one and delivered it. I guess the game doesn't check if you deliver that one or your personal one. Next time I'll try if it's possible to deliver my MOC cab.

Someone* mentioned the "Win 3 Sprint races for 4 days in a row." challenge updates even with only one race won per day: That's how it's working for me.

 

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I only won two yesterday. However, I most certainly only won one today (which was also the first race of the day), and checking after that showed the challenge updated from 1/4 to 2/4

 

 

So, either the caption for the challenge actually means winning three sprint races, one a day, within four consecutive days (implying you could skip one day), or, it's bugged. I'd probably go with the latter, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I get trying to save money and wanting to win the prize ride, but if it’s just money and not the accomplishment/OCD, just do a Cayo Perico heist or 3 and boom: there’s your cash. This player base is too petty and childish for contact racing. I can count on two hands how many races I’ve had since LST dropped where people weren’t ramming or driving the course backward trying to knock the leaders. Would it really have been so hard to implement the ghosting feature from OW races? The honeymoon period is over and the assholes are griefing these races, it’s not even poor sports, it’s people intentionally playing the races to distract and disrupt.

On the Lost MC Contract, you can absolutely call in your Phantom Wedge as the truck cab to deliver on the Transport Method setup ....

Look around after taking a photo of the schedule on the 2nd prep (the one where you need to wait for the Lost to leave and kill the dock forman).

 

You'll find an NPC Phantom Wedge lightly guarded by some security that you can steal and park at the dropoff so you start the finale with one waiting for you.

 

And because it's an NPC version, it's actually tough.

I've tried it with both the guarded Phantom Wedge and my personal one, and it seems both result in the exact same vehicle for the "finale".

 

MOC cab didn't work.

I think what happens is that, since there's an NPC Wedge provided as one of cab options at the docks, it'll just accept any Phantom Wedge when you deliver it, and then the game will check what you brought for the finale, and give you a repainted NPC Wedge regardless of whether you used yours or the one provided, because all it tracks is 'Phantom Wedge: Y/N?', not whether you used the specific NPC one.

that would help with the remembering of names. and maybe have it be a 'generation' thing where you could have 2 different years of a car but they are the same exactly except for the year, like a 1994 Jester and a 1995 Jester.

They’re going to be remasters on the OG maps, not this set on HD era maps Mumbai jumbo. Those maps are what makes those games what they are, to set them in IV’s LC would totally defeat the purpose.

Hauler Custom and Phantom Custom don't work for the Lost contract mission, you can only use a Phantom Wedge, or standard trucks.

 

I tried it with the Phantom Custom, pretty sure it also doesn't work with the Hauler Custom.

So what will be the big DLC for December? I assume it will be current gen only. Mile High Club resort and finally mansions? aka 'ill gotten gains' part 3 if you will.

 

Looking forward to them taking advantage of all the current gen power and space.

Sorry if I maybe missed any previous discussion on this thread, but has anyone confirmed it's going to be "big"? Imho, considering how they already have E&E and the remastered trilogy on their plate potentially until the end of this year, I can't help but feel like Tuners might have been the biggest we get for 2021.

There will definitely be a December update and likely be current gen other wise what is there to entice people to make the switch now? Hell they might launch GTAO with a new update in November then and there. Maybe GTA3 has something to do with this??!!

I don't doubt that, we still have the GTA 3 surprises for Online coming up after all, but it just doesn't seem likely that it's gonna be something "big" when we've already had a pretty dense DLC this year. My expectations would be more akin to the Summer update from last year, a handful of new vehicles and maybe some extra jobs or contact missions but nothing too major.

You'd have a point if there was no current gen GTAO launching, but as there is I expect a big exclusive update. Particularly showcasing the extra power and space of current gen. Mansions with 50 car garages would be an example. Naval update with purchasable air craft carriers would be another. Crazy yes but I wouldn't put it past them.

 

Any how last summer's update was a one off. For obvious reasons. I expect a good sized update in the Spring to further entice people to upgrade.

 

GTA VI could be finally announced next year and DLC's could further link to that for bonus' later on.

Pretty sure E&E is the winter update in and of itself, exclusive for PS5/SeriesX/PC. I think this summer update was the last one for last gen.

 

As for the GTA3 "surprise," anything less than Liberty City coming to GTAO is going to be a disappointment. And by Liberty City, I mean a COMPLETELY rebuilt map... not the tiny one from GTA4. It's way too small compared to the GTA5 map.

 

Also that new Lambo looks exactly like the Tempesta.... we don't need another one.

We will have to wait and see what E&E has related to GTAO to assume fully it will be this years winter update. This month hopefully will be the month.......

 

The GTA3 stuff will probably be some outfits, cars, weapons, classic radio station perhaps. Now we know the remasters are not along the lines of the Mafia remaster, then I don't hold hope for a map expansion. Unless GTA3 is coming to the arcades in game?

NYC is tiny compared to LA, you know that right?
