I also think there'll be Guard teams patrolling the wilderness areas that people normally fly through on a Manchez Scout.

 

A further improvement and fair difficulty buff would be if R* completed and implemented the Hard version of Gather Intel, i.e. have it so you enter the island via the Kosotka and you get thrown off the island entirely if you're caught just once. Also, El Rubio has a bunch of unused quotes, some of them sound like as if he were in combat on-foot, others are friendly social greetings but a few of them sound like something he'd say if he himself found us somewhere we shouldn't be, or as if we were dragged to him by his goons, then knocked out. Then again if a mass update to CPH was on the table, I wonder if they'd leave it alone for this generation of Online and save it for E&E. There are also 2 variables I don't want to see altered, that would be seen as genuinely malicious if R* touched them. I want them to add the Panther to the RNG pool, but have a sensible drop rate like Diamonds in the Casino, something like >4%, not a 0.0X% chance.

 

The big hope though? That this update brings some kind of Halloween event & reward to Cayo Perico involving that cultish gravesite with the skull.

 

I don't see this happening, personally, but I guess we'll see. I don't think they are going to nerf Cayo in any way, nor do I think they would nerf the Oppressor MKII, as many would like to see. I could be wrong, but I don't think Rockstar does this to big parts of the game like heists and vehicles.

 

I have the funny feeling that Rockstar will instead make mitigating changes to the in-game economy. I have a feeling that E&E is going to introduce a whole plethora of very elaborate upgrades and vehicles, as well as possibly new businesses, perhaps even mansions, as many people have wanted. And I think that if this happens, they will then charge huge piles of cash for the new widgets. What's the most expensive thing in the game now? Casino Penthouse and Kosatka with upgrades? Those are each under $10 Million, a little less if you catch them on sale. So I think Rockstar is going to start releasing much more expensive stuff even than those. Say $50 Million for a mansion? New and very elaborate vehicles in the $10 Million range in both Legendary and Warstock, perhaps even much more expensive Elitas flyables? New businesses that cost $20 Million to turn the key?

 

To me, and seeing how Rockstar seems to almost never nerf anything as huge as an entire heist or a vehicle (like the Oppressor), I think nerfing is off the table.

 

The only sticking point for Take2 that I see is that traditionally, newly released stuff was always kept within the price range that a single large Shark Card sale would slightly more than cover it. But if a mansion, let's say, retails for $50 Million, how many of the largest shark card would a player have to purchase to have the GTA Funny Money necessary to snag it? I don't see players spending like $500.00 of real money to buy some in-game widget, no matter how shiny and new it is. So the way I see it, they have two choices. They bundle it into any decent sized shark card sale, so the player gets the e-Monopoly Money plus the widget, or they could actually offer the new toys as premium DLC to retail shark card purchasers. But I don't think they will put it behind a pay wall. I think that instead, they will approximate a pay wall by charging a fortune in in-game money for the new widgets, putting it out of reach of many players, while offering them individually or bundled into premium DLC, perhaps at a more nominal price than straight up shark cards.

Well, bigger updates tend to have dripfeed. The update will be very small upon release with just 5/6 cars if this filler update has 10/15 cars to begin with. Bigger title updates that include +- 30 cars have dripfeed because they actually have cars to drip for a couple of weeks/months. Also they are very aware of the fact that dripfeed will be available to the public 1/2 days after the initial update because of datamining. It's just a matter of how long they want the DLC to last.

I wonder. Because for me, no dripfeed meant no playing. It's weird, but it certainly worked like that. And I know other players who stopped playing as well. And if it's true, RS would not repeat that.

Oh i totally agree with you. I have a love/hate relationship with dripfeed content as they keep the game updated for a long period of time. However, it's not fun to wait a couple of weeks or even months for your favorite dripfeed vehicle to be released. But yet again, that's exactly what dripfeed was designed to do, letting you come back to check if it's released week after week. Luckily we can tell whenever a specific vehicle will be released in the dripfeed order, but still.

If it had been called something 'other' than Los Santos Car Meet maybe my heart would have stopped but it lacked the 'excitement' hype for me, seeing cars parked around a lot and then going racing just felt a bit 'meh' so BRUH is the rating!

I think that was a one-off for LSSS - it had much less content than DCH before it, so I think they released everything at once in order to have a bigger surprise when the DLC initially dropped.

 

For comparison, AW had 23 "unique" new vehicles (counting every variant of the Arena War vehicles as one vehicle) DC&R had 22 new vehicles and DCH had 20 new vehicles. LSSS with 15 vehicles would have been a noticeable step down from what we were used to. I think we're likely to be back on form with around 20 vehicles with this update though, 25 at a push.

Until they gave us a proper Schafter Classic. Glendale don't count as a Schafter Classic.

 

 

Or Dubsta Classic with huge customization options, like the Yosemite Rancher.
