Some people keep on saying there's an underground element to this, but what if it's possible that half of the content of the DLC will be underground Cop Impound garages? Gives the idea for players to choose: Be a criminal and steal the exotic cars for yourself, or be a cop and steal the cars back to the proper side of Los Santos? Sounds far-fetched, but this would DEFINETELY be a good mechanic of the new Summer DLC.

I could definitely see that happening. Maybe we could have a tuner focus on the Summer DLC, and then expand upon the opposite side (the cops) in the Winter DLC, sorta like what happened with the Casino DLC being followed up with the Casino Heist DLC and continuing the storyline.

We didn't have an idea of 2020's Summer update until like three weeks before release. We do now for a update that's like one month away. I would say that's an improvement. The best tease we had was Gunrunning, firstly teased on March 2nd, 2017 and released on June 13th of that year. I guess this could be the second best?

 

EDIT: Actually, I think the best tease was the original Heists update that we known about for two years. :kekw:

Technically, we've still yet to get our hands on what was initially shown back in the Official Gameplay Video for Online.

Ha, I once thought they could've placed something in the text from the start/warning screen from gta 5, because the spacing between words was uneven, but it probably was nothing.

I hope rockstar fix this rendering thing on expanded and enhanced. I think it’s in rdr2 but not as noticeable but in gta v it’s awful

Bro, the foliage pop in has literally been in GTA since GTA III, they just made it less noticable in more recent games. I'm convinced it's a design decision.

It was nice until gta v tho imo. Foliage pop is a graphical eyesore especially for modern hardware not just pc, and I don’t think it’s a design decision as you can manually Change lod options, and in rdr2 they did fix it but there’s a lot of ghosting

Was just joking, obviously it isn't a design decision. I don't expect it to go away.

Rockstar could use summer updates to expand upon what's already in the game. Imagine they added new source/resupply missions, new cars to steal for IE, a new DJ for the nightclubs, a new loadout/approach to cayo, a new biker business (Heroin, LesterCoin, idk), maybe some new arena war cars/modes, new client jobs, new random events/freemode events, etc. I feel like summer updates should be a mixed bag of updated old content with a sprinkle of new content. Obviously all of that stuff wouldn't come at once, but thats just some ideas. That would also make a good opportunity to balance and improve some of the outdated content. Like lets make ceo crates work exactly like airfreight cargo, where you can destroy the vehicle carrying it and pick up each crate individually. And let players steal crates rather than destroying it for 2000$. Simple tweaks and QoL while expanding on old content is what I feel summer updates should be like.

They did a pretty decent job of hiding it in RDR2, it's amazing how much foliage and vegetation that game has but it handles them so well, both from a performance and from a visual standpoint.

 

Red Dead Redemption 2 is phenomenal.

I believe that there's potential for some kind of new information though, either for GTA or RDO.

 

I think a few people pointed out that the fan art appreciation usually happens on Fridays, but this week it was on a Thursday. We still don't know why they made the GTA event week to be two weeks long either, I really doubt that they just did both of these things for no reason.

 

They could be alternating the order in when they give out information about each game (GTA got info first, then RDO a few weeks later, maybe it's GTA's turn again?). Then again, on the Newswire about Red Dead, it said to expect more information "very soon...", so we could see information for RDO first.

 

I'm not saying that we should be expecting a fully detailed announcement of the update for either game today, but I think we should stay hopeful and realistic (if that's even possible on here :kekw:)

It's mostly grass, and it's not there if you turn grass to low. Another very obvious thing is mesh improvement on terrain and load of parallax maps. That can be turned off by turning shaders to low. That however also removes bloom on sun reflections on cars and buildings.

I do use these to settings though .. I mean even my new 2060 notebook can't handle grass on max. But the main reason is I just can't stand popup this obvious. I rather not have grass, and I rather not have bloom and parallax mapping.

I really hope we dont get a new useless contact in our phone. I already have to scroll trough an entire family tree in order to call lester. I'm beggin for a quick dial QoL update.

An option to hide contacts in the interaction menu, just like with the map blimps and events, would be lovely... I'm also f*ckin' tired of scrolling thru endless list of characters, that don't even serve any role as they don't pick up the phone anyways, to get to Lester or mechanic..

It’s not that bad if you use the right and left d-pad buttons when scrolling through your contacts tho ;)

hmm...haven´t noticed that grass thing.
i have grass on high iirc, bc that doesn´t have those self shadows iirc, so no shadow popin in that.
and the shadows being low quality could be bc of the extended shadow distance setting bc even though it increases the shadow draw distance, it basically is like when you stretch a image to 2x the size in paint.
it gets blurry.

which is similar to what happens here.

Yeah it's not the end of the world per se, but i dont understand why Rockstar find it necessary to have such a big number of useless contacts on your phone. I only care about my mechanic, Lester, Lamar, Merryweather, Assisant etc. I dont care about you Bryony. Shoo.
