I know this is off-topic since it's not entirely related to next update that was announced, but what kinda marketing is this? I know it's not a shock when it comes to R*, but less than 5 months until release of E&E and we barely know anything aside release date. They should at least release some pics if not whole gameplay trailer and give at least brief info what are those new features, price of the release, etc and yet nothing and i doubt we gonna even get info regarding that this month or even whole summer. We might get info on ''tuner'' update this month but seeing how they operated in the past, we'll probably have to wait until month or so before release which could set us to wait for info until mid to late july.

As for any E&E news, I have my doubts but will keep an eye for tomorrow. From the internal side of things, I believe they prepare any sorts of articles for Thursdays and Fridays on Wednesdays which happened to be the same day an announcement happened.

Their channel dates back to 2018, but they started becoming more popular in 2019. Then, last year, Rockstar Community team approached them to see a live airshow. I don't know what followed from that point onward.

In the famous crews, there was one that toke the role play very serious and it was mafia theme wise, even R* back in the day advertised them on the newswire. It was the Mercanti Family. But the guys ended their thing like in 2016 or something. Even when the game was bare-bones they did cool stuff, imagine now what they could do if they had the resources and features that the game would give them today.

Idk how anyone can defend rockstar and their way of handling the community, they are literally the worst in terms of giving news and info regarding their games, months even years of radio silence is shockingly bad and frankly I'm sick of people saying well that's how rockstar is... I mean I prefer radio silence than what cdpr and activision does, and they are radio silence because they see it as more professional from what I heard

Yeah but those mods are very unoptimized, plus this is rockstar they don’t like going back to old things and reworking them because they fear it brings more bugs, and I’m sure the devs of watchdogs had an idea to do raytracing for a while unlike gta 5 that’s built for 2005 hardware, gta 5 the game that can’t use the full power of modern cpu, raytracing could happen but I doubt it, what they need to do is fix their awful anti aliasing

But wait, i passed to you the impression that i was defending R* of their mistreatment of PC players? I mean, i was not saying that...what i said was my opinion about why they, as like almost any other company do, to pc players. Back in the day the experience i had and what was told me is that pc players since they could do piracy on the games, thus taking away profit for the game companies, they would first release their games to consoles, bcz was way harder to do piracy, and then, when they got enough profit and the work paid the bill, then, pc release for some extra bucks, knowing that a lot of piracy would going to happen.

But nowadays i don't think that should be a thing, bcz 90% of games have a online part, and with a cracked copy you can't go online, which is what the majority wants, so, i believe the game piracy is no longer what used to be.

People here and R* should take a look at coffee stain studios (same company that made goat simulator) and their game Satisfactory (first person factory building game), the 2 community managers of the game do a weekly stream consistently, they meme around with the community show some screenshots and highlights submitted by players, discuss some issues and talk about their progress and development state and some of their future plans.

The two are funny and very engaged with the community and other content creators and the community loves them, for that reason whenever an update is delayed (which happens on regular bases) they explain it to the community which always makes the players chill, i think all the big game studios lack communication and they could learn a thing or two from those guys.

 

Here is a link for 10 min video they made to list the new things they added in the last update, it's a funny one if you got 10 min to waste

Oh I see I still think it’s dumb rockstar want to double dip pc users especially because of pirates. 80% of people who pirate a product were going to pirate regardless, drm just makes them wait longer. But we’ll see if rumours are true gta 6 releasing in 2023 I don’t see how rockstar and take two would delay pc releases as no one can get these console and shortages are expected to run till mid-late 2022, and by 2023 supply still wouldn’t reach demand, but we will see. If rockstar plan to keep breaking sales record and the release date of gta 6 is 2023 I don’t think that’s possible

Well, there's the thing that big company get a little bit snob after they get big, but also i think there's the fear that if they explain too much about what happens inside the working of their games/dlc's they fear that competitors will "stole" some ideas. But, apart from that, i think some minor details about dates, specifically wouldn't make any warm. Even if it would be like: "listen, we think we will release on the date X but it can not happen bcz last minute problems", i think they hold too much until the very end of the pre-release of the dlc's.

I'm not saying they should do the same but they certainly can do  a lot better.

Fun fact a lot of satisfactory players bought the game twice, on epic games and steam just to support the developers, and i mean a lot.

Just compare this with a game that you were forced to buy 3 times.

So this is a big speculation, but hopefully it happens for the update.

So, we've already had some of the Cops n Crooks stuff set aside (probs gonna be used later or not, who knows) but with the update focusing on exotic cars/car meets, and from the content of the community created GTA Online: Tuners n Outlaws trailer, it has me thinking about something.

Some people keep on saying there's an underground element to this, but what if it's possible that half of the content of the DLC will be underground Cop Impound garages? Gives the idea for players to choose: Be a criminal and steal the exotic cars for yourself, or be a cop and steal the cars back to the proper side of Los Santos? Sounds far-fetched, but this would DEFINETELY be a good mechanic of the new Summer DLC.
