F in the chat for the most fun i had in the last-gen lobbies all those years ago. Modders sometimes made the lobbies a living hell and an amusement park at the same time. Who remembers the little hotdog between our legs or the traffic cones on our heads when we joined a lobby. Good times.

From the article it seems to me that either E&E will be (timed?) console exclusive or it's just pc max graphics and 60fps thing. Second option looks more and more probable.

And it would take them more than a year to port the already existing PC version to the new consoles? Nah.

A few months to polish, but not more than a year.

If E&E were just changing some hardcoded (or not even) settings on consoles, it would be out by now.

Exactly.. they also wouldn't market it the way they did, the backlash will be unreal lol

People are already hating on them for this port, imagine if it's just the PC version for consoles.

 

Anyway logically looking at it, it would have already been out by now if it was just the PC version of game.

Well, i was talking more about old era gta's. But what made the pc pirating the games in general, not only gta, was when the games start to go multillplayer, bcz even if you would crack the game, having a pirate copy would not get you to multiplayer. Gta IV qas a case of the last games to be pirate in terms of large numbers, bcz you could crack it, but then you were unable to go online.

Why it takes 1.5 years ? In my opinion :
Covid, engine improvements (RDR2 engine + netcode improvements), Raytracing, DLSS/FidelityFX-SR and 4k60fps on consoles.

Note : FidelityFx is planned to be released June 22nd on PC and later it will be a huge step for consoles, the key for performance/quality. The only addition on PC would be the DLSS/FidelityFX-SR and Raytracing.

I don't think the developers have had time/opportunity to test this on consoles yet.

We can note the presence of 2K. It doesn't mean anything concrete, just that 2K is already working with FidelityFX. I assume that Rockstar Games could do the same in the near future.

Doesn't Rockstar sometimes do something where they give one game a double event week, and then give an update/some news for the other game? 

I remember one time where RDO had a really bad event week for two weeks whilst GTA got a whole new update (Casino Heist I think?) 

 

I want new info as much as the next guy, but I think the double event week is because of news/the update for Red Dead, not GTA.

It's simple. Before we get those deadline new maps and new survivals that R* specifically said that would come before the tuners dlc, so...until then, we dont need to trying to guess when the dlc tuners will come.
