The theme of this MOTW is basically what Rockstar is doing for all gta games, nice topic.

Alright I vote for RaXo's mission but here's a short review/feedback for each mission.

1. An Offer You Can't Refuse: Great mission, I liked the drive by part a lot but the whole mission is taken from Mafia, inspiration isnt bad but this just felt unoriginal in my opinion, you could also use different name for the Don instead of Salieri. 4/5, 4 stars for unoriginality
2. The Factory Raid: The gameplay was good, but the grammar ruined the mood. Also the mission should've ended after the bike fell on ground, not in middle of the fall. 2/5, should improve your English next time. Not trying to be rude just saying what you've should improve.
3. Protection Money: This mission was fun but the story had a lot holes, also you should've used different name for the Mafia family and the Protagonist, because Esperanto is more of a latin name than Italian. The SWAT seemed way too polite and the Bar owner was too much of a badass for a 78 years old guy to attack a Mafia mansion alone. Also why would the Don let Sonny chill in his mansion? 3/5, 3 stars for the story.
4. The Ambush: This mission is the second best in this MOTW. Just when you flied with the sparrow, to distract the Sindaccos, the timer was too long... you've should make it at least 1:30 than 3 minutes, flying around for 3 minutes and avoid RPGs got kinda boring after 2 minutes. The explosion was good but it didnt feel that cool (but yeah you had 100 objects already, that's not your fault) 5/5 *****
5. The Rat: I liked this mission the most and it got my vote. Unlike John David's An Offer You Can't Refuse this was original even after seen many inspiration from Mafia and Mafia 2. Just one problem with this mission, it had some errors (not grammar ones, or at least I didn't notice any, but designing ones), if you can't see them I'll tell you on discord. This mission was the best from this MOTW. good job Raxo. 5/5 *****

Due to the mission breaking boundaries and including non acceptable behavior, ShmoopieVictim's mission will be disqualified for breaking the rules as well including suspicious activities in the mission's elements. Hereby also you are not allowed to vote as you are new to the community as well as bringing controversial topics in the mission

Also @The Monster, voting for yourself is not allowed

Btw, the reason your mission is not qualified is because of it's edgy stupid plot.

In this mission you're literally ending up killing your mom, mafia telling you to kill a lot of children at a children's playground (for no absolute reason) and then commit suicide at the end.

If you removed these elements from your mission, it could've been qualified. But it's not fitting the theme anyway, 20% of the mission is actually getting into the mafia part (kinda).

Better luck next time 🤡

I appreciated your feedback :D

Yes, the name "Salieri" was my big mistake since I didn't think carefully about any unique names I should input out there? The way you said unoriginal is because I really didn't compare it in real Mafia game, all the ideas are created as a trial plot and plain instinct, since GTA has a lot of variety backgrounds to use. Everything was intuitive after all.

So i decided to introduce a new format for my reviews from now on.

I am gonna criticize 3 crucial aspects of the mission(Ik others do something like this but it isnt wrong to do like them lel)

Gameplay

Cutscenes & Dialogue

Overall coherence of the mission

Also i will introduce a new scoring system:

sh*t                       Very Bad                   Average                    Good                   Very good                 Masterpiece

Without further bullsh*t here are my reviews:

@spk_oo:

Quote

Gameplay:

It is a bit short for a 37 objective mission so there is not really anything to say, but u made the most out of it, it was nothing but not bad.

Average

Cutscenes & Dialogue:

It was good from what i can remember while going through, issue is: it was pretty forgetable, now maybe because i played it about  days ago and my memory speed is that of a snail, but to support my point there was nothing too marky, but from what i CAN remeber the dialogue fitted the mafias and established a pretty good characteristics and for that i will give you my following scoring.

Good

Overall coherence of the mission:

It goes without saying that the mission was good but its only major drawback is the lack of action and very little objectives, the story was very good but it was short and missed alotta things. This is basically a missed opportunity and such a shame that you had to rush it in the first 2 days even though i gave you all a WEEK, which hosts dont normally do.

Average mission

@The John David:

Quote

Gameplay:

It is very balanced with the story and options you were given, i mean they are 2 mafia mobs escaping from the cops via an innocent cab driver, it is not the fanciest sh*t, but for a story like this it did the job

Good

Cutscenes & Dialogues:

Dialogue fits the characters and their stereotypes, especially the cab driver, the only not so special dialogue was with the mafia head but then again he was just trying to not tell too much to a civilian cab driver. I mean since you are a veteran, you know what you are doing and it shows. Cutscenes wise, the is a lot of good shots like with the cab driver but some were weird like when the boss handed him some money i mean you could have made a dialogue were the boss said the amount instead of the awkward cutscene of saying that u gained 5k $ but it was good for the most part.

Good

Overall coherence of the mission:

Flows really well for the most part, i mean it is a story of a driver sticking to the wrong side of things in life and ends up with a very hard alternative to his medicore life, now someone pointed out that this is more of a remake in Mafia series. I personally didnt play them so i dunno to what extent u got inspired but it was a good remake if it is for the most part. My only issue is the ending, it kinda just leaves the story there, reminds of alot of TV series that stopped abruptly and i feel that what you were aiming at could have been done better. Unless you are gonna make a series following up, if not then well.....

Good mission

@Stardust101:

Quote

Gameplay:

Fairly ok, nothing too shabby or fancy but it is alright. Gun fight was ok but it had its flaws like it was a bit easy for an FBI onslaught, should have made their heads non-popped if that makes sense.

Average

Cutscenes & Dialogue:

Your cutscenes are consistently good for a prospect and it seems that you got the hang of it. As for dialogues, it was alright, everyone felt natural and not too robotic or too script like so there is that, nothing to degrade or to add.

Good

Overall coherence of the mission:

Your story reminds me of my second ever DYOM mission which consisted of a Protection Racket element. Safe to say that we both got inspired possibly from the same game: GTA VCS. It was quite an underrated business aspect. For the story it fits but has major flaws like first of all..... how the hell does the bar owner know the boss's place, let alone the FBI? Sounds very stupid and most eyebrow raising one is why the hell does the boss keep one of his goons in one of his flashy rooms in his OWN LUXURY MANSION. Also, the boss acting bery clueless while there are dead bodies all over the mansion is pretty stupid. Ngl expected you to be more attentative and intelligent with your mission plot design

Average mission

@The Monster:

Quote

Gameplay:

It is your typical shooting simulator game, difficulty was ok-ish for the most part. It is just too easy to go through especially since you have friends

Average

Cutscenes & Dialogue:

Very generic dialogue and forgetable for mafia schticks, as for cutscenes they had their downsides which comes at the end as you were aiming for a good ramp jump shot which failed miserably and left it very awkward which kinda makes this fall a bit below average.

Very Bad

Overall coherence of the mission:

It is just really meh..... you can find thousands of those in a daily DYOM surfing, i am not being harsh but based n the standards of alot of DYOM mewbies, safe to say you need ALOTTA IMPROVEMENT. As for the time being, take what i give you

Very bad mission

@Mister A:

Quote

Gameplay:

Honestly, this is the best gameplay this week, you definetly impressed me as i havent seen you do alot of work. All i knew is that you are a talented skin maker on the horizon. I loved the tactic of using the sparrow to eliminate the goons on the rooftop with the RPG which was pretty challenging and as for the ground ones, you either can challenge yourself with the sparrow or sit on the rooftop and kill them from above. It was balanced really good and i had a bit of fun compared to others

Very good

Cutscenes & Dialogue:

You sure know how to portray mexicans hehe, i am kinda certain that you used google translate, but tbh there is no shame in it, you were able to present what you have very good. It wasnt obviously as good as your gameplay but it fit really good, would have loved to see more dynamic between the Rifas though. Cutscenes seemed alright, it had its good parts but not too outstanding.

Good

Overall coherence of the mission:

It is a mafia family exacting revenge on another, a good story to digest even from simpler folks, the choice of bases kinda left me quiestionable. I mean they are literally 2 streets away from each other. I remember you having a problem in choosing the Sindacco's HQ but i told you to use custom objects. Having them on the other end of the city or even in Bone county would have looked more pleasing. Still it didnt foreshadow your object placement for a Mafia enviroment, also the final scene was good (even though designers use this cliche alot but it never fails to amaze us)

Good mission

@Axoez:

Quote

Gameplay:

I mean.. i expected more but i think you sacrificed some of the gameplay for story elements, will get to that in the end, it isnt bad to do that but obviously a compromise always meets a little bit of disappointement. Which explains why you made a sequence where you f*cking go from SF to LS with 5 f*ckING STARS WTF LOL. Tbh, i made it out intact in the first try, without cheats. it reminds me of a certain creator here, who shall not be named and remain banned, but not to be a bastard, i enjoyed it; it gave a bit of challenge and i saw some people complaining about it. Long driving can be toleratable if it is done correctly and not oversaturated, like the non-named individual did wrong, but besides that it was pretty simple and average for a stand alone mission. But since the driving part took most of the gameplay sequence the rating will be based mostly on it otherwise i would have moved it down a notch.

Good

Cutscenes & Dialogue:

As expected, since you solely focused on it you were able to deliver in both aspects. Natural dialogues, good cutscenes, basically the good sh*t we expect from you and seeing how this is obviously tied to the story which was more focused than gameplay,, i say you did a good job.

Good

Overall coherence of the mission:

Kidnapping weasels, drivong from city to city while having donut eating pigs behind you, safe to say you did pretty good, the beginning was a bit weird and there was parts that didnt make sense but your input of irony at least explained it for me. It was unusal for me that the weasel was an old man ,cuing Kenny Paas, and got tortured on camera. Bit weird and f*cked but i kinda like this sh*t. You pushed yourself in 2 days to make this and i say you did pretty good.

Good mission

After a bit of headache i finally declared my vote:
