Not sure if this merits a thread of it own. Please feel free to delete if it doesn't or if there is already one similar. 

Like the title says 'Remember when...'

 

*You only had one garage.

*You couldn't run in your garage/apartment.

*The random security trucks you could rob.

*Paying thousands in hospital bills (thanks to RyuNova for that one)

*You had to pay your own car insurance even if someone else blew up your car.

 

Anything else?

 

Edit: OH! Tank Sniping!! Whenever some punter would get in a tank on a rampage you could get to a building roof and sniper them. I used to love that! You could also store the tanks in your garage (chrome tanks) but not sure if that was a glitch. Never did it myself but would see some insane garages.

Haha yeah! A bounty!! Quick get it!!! I used to sell the Ballers for 9k. I remember filling a garage with them so I could sell one every 45mins.

- Pegasus wouldn't relocate your vehicle or change it because you already requested it 

- Pegasus despawns your vehicle because you didn't use it

 

- there was no vip, Mc, ceo, freemode events or challenges and real money making was only doable by grinding missions (incl heists, LTS..)

Remember when you used to respawn at the hospital after dying in freemode and get charged a medical bill of 500 or 1k? (Can’t remember the exact value).

 

This was only in the first few weeks, there were several patches that came out and tweaked the economy in the first few weeks in 2013. This was one of the things that got altered quickly. Back then most people were doing early missions for 1-2k a pop. Dying a few times could literally bankrupt a player starting out.

Remember it all too well. The same mission in question was Rooftop Rumble in 2014 before heists came out. You couldn’t join a random contact mission and it be anything else. God it got dull.

 

I remember when in the first week when people got excited when they unlocked Violent Duct for Gerald and discovered it payed a *whopping* 9k. Invites filled up faster than CP finales do now. Wouldn’t even pay my daily utility bill today.

Punters grinding Criminal Records for the RP. Ok, so I did it a few times when I was rank 117 to get to 120 for the rocket launcher. 

 

Also, I remember dropping your weapons (rocket launcher) for someone of a lower rank. Pretty sure you can still drop your weapons just haven't done so in years.

I remember doing the armored car glitch over and over to make cash. I did it like 20 times once and only stopped because I got sick of doing the same exact thing. I remember getting excited when they said we'd be able to own 2 properties finally.

 

I still love that Online trailer, hell all the original trailers for the game, they make me wanna play the game.

Calling Lester for a helicopter and shooting the pilot so you could fly it yourself. And if you botched it he would take off in a hurry.

i remember johnny on the spot.

one time i had him deliver one of my vans except he delivered my dilettante, and i've had him jack one of my cars (i shot him), and one other time he pulled me out of another one of my cars and started fighting me (i shot him again).

shooting johnny on the spot (was really on the spot with us).
