AlyssaAlien 0 Posted February 28 Share Posted February 28 Hi, so regarding the project VCS PC edition, does it mean that the link you provided contains only CHAPTER 1 from description ? (up to mission D.I.V.O.R.C.E). I also downloaded it recently and for me all missions worked, but i changed some of the code (dat extension files mostly), and performed some in-game actions to prevent errors (minidumps in my case). And then when i try to enter next mission (To Victor, the spoils), i only see title, and then all screen is black and nothing happens. So may i ask, do you know why is it dead, were there any problems in the development or the cretors got too busy? and will it remain dead or maybe in future some1 gonna try to continue it? For the user above, if you are stuck in any mission, i can send u main.scm with those missions passed, but there is not much point in it, coz it's not the entire game. Yes to all the above, it got to a point where we had to do a lot more work due to Rockstar not releasing a mobile version, combined with most of us being busy in real life and generally losing interest in the project just meant that it ceased to be fun to work on anymore. If a VCS project does continue at some point it will NOT be via this method anymore, it's pretty outdated now and with the re3/reVC projects out there (and soon reLCS) it only makes sense to continue from that baseline instead. However again, due to the lack of a mobile port of VCS it will remain to be the most difficult game of the 3D era to port. Link to post Share on other sites

But regardless of it being dead, you guys did a great job making that part, really awesome and rockstar's decision to make it only a PS game, was a big mistake. Link to post Share on other sites
