RedDagger
Hi all, I accidentally merged this topic with the GTA Next Music & Radio topic, and since the forum has no way to automatically undo that, I manually split all the posts that look like they were supposed to be in this thread into, well, this thread - I think I got all of them but a few may have been missed. Also, you need to re-follow the thread if you were following it before, since it's technically a new thread. Apologies! kobeni
New tracklist format style I'm experimenting on, inspired by Mafia wiki. Would love some feedback from you guys if it looks good or bad. Here's a station from a dormant Carcer City-based concept I've been working on-and-off on, set between 1989 to 1993. Will edit in the logo when it's done. Fuzzz 92.5FM "Home to the alternative sound of the Midwest and abroad, it's time to get fuzzy." Genre: 80s-90s Alternative Rock & Indie Pop Host: Quentin Barrett Type: Dynamic Description: A radio station featuring mostly alternative and independent artists and bands, and one of the largest and most diverse stations in Carcer City, as far as tracklists go, with over 60 tracks from both years combined. It is the radio arm of the Fuzzz alternative culture publication, where magazine issues are purchasable by the player at any convenience store in-game. It contrasts a lot with its sister station, KPRP, such that it shies away from the mostly-American power pop, college rock sound of the former, opting for a more jangle pop, Madchester-inspired aesthetic instead. Regardless, both stations are very popular among college and university students. Quentin Barrett is the host of the station. He is a music writer for the Fuzzz magazine for its Midwestern branch in the United States, broadcasting in Musketoon, Illinois and Wisconsin, among other states. Quentin is an avid spectator of the alternative music scene, particularly the one in the UK. Mostly grounded in his approach towards radio, his correspondents, Sage, the host of Tequi-La-La Radio out of Los Santos, Liver Tyler, the host of Liberty City Hardcore out of Liberty City and Adam First, the host of Wave 103 out of Vice City, offer a break from the mundanity of the station, often giving more interesting and humorous perspectives by reporting often demented and darkly-humorous anecdotes of various live shows and band drama as well as harsh critiques of certain bands, often at the expense of Quentin. Spotify Playlist: Spoiler Jingles: Spoiler "Music that's practically unknown to most 9-to-5ers and sorority girls! It's time to hop on your high horse, young America! You're on 92.5FM." "Defining the culture of a generation that could care less about anything else! You're on Fuzzz 92.5FM. Latest coffee and pee-stained publication available at any 24-7 for only $2.99." "Home to the most politically active youth demographic since the 60s, or at least that's what our sponsors want us to believe. Fuzzz 92.5FM, metalheads and cops not eligible for discount." "Satiate your ego, get the Fuzzz on. 92.5FM. This jingle was sponsored by Nothing Soda." "Music that challenges the preeminent status quo of what rock should be, or maybe we just like fiddling with guitars and pedals and don't give a sh*t about what other people think. 92.5FM." 1989 Original Tracklist: Spoiler Bad Brains • I Against I [1986] Beat Happening • What's Important [1985] Concrete Blonde • Still In Hollywood [1986] The Cramps • People Ain't No Good [1986] Dinosaur Jr. • Freak Scene [1988] The Dream Syndicate • 50 In A 25 Zone [1985] The Fall • Dead Beat Descendent [1989] Gang of Four • Damaged Goods [1979] The Godfathers • Birth, School, Life, Death [1987] Guadalcanal Diary • Litany (Life Goes On) [1987] Husker Du • Something I Learned Today [1984] Iggy Pop • High On You [1988] Jane's Addiction • Mountain Song [1988] The Jesus & Mary Chain • Just Like Honey [1985] • Coast To Coast [1989] Let's Active • Every Word Means No [1989] Love And Rockets • Welcome Tomorrow [1987] Love Tractor • Small Town [1987] McCarthy • Well Of Loneliness [1987] Minuteman • This Ain't No Picnic [1984] Mission Of Burma • Max Ernst [1981] My Bloody Valentine • Thorn [1988] Pop Will Eat Itself • Oh Grebo, I Think I Love You [1987] Primal Scream • Velocity Girl [1986] • Gentle Tuesday [1987] • Ivy Ivy Ivy [1989] The Soft Boys • Give It To The Soft Boys [1980] The Stone Roses • She Bangs The Drums [1989] That Petrol Emotion • Big Decision [1989] The Three O' Clock • I Go Wild [1983] The U-Men • Gila [1984] The Wedding Present • Kennedy [1989] Young Marble Giants • The Taxi [1980] Added in 1993: Spoiler Bleach • Decadence [1990] Blur • There's No Other Way [1991] The Breeders • Safari [1992] Chapterhouse • Mesmerise [1992] The Charlatans • Sproston Green [1990] Coffin Break • Kill The President [1990] Concrete Blonde • Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) [1990] Gallon Drunk • Some Fool's Mess [1991] Inspiral Carpets • She Comes In The Fall [1990] James • Seven [1992] The Jesus & Mary Chain • Catchfire [1992] • Guitarman [1992] The Lemonheads • Confetti [1992] Lush • Sweetness & Light [1990] • De-Luxe [1990] • Fantasy [1992] Manic Street Preachers • Slash 'n' Burn [1992] My Bloody Valentine • Loomer [1991] Mother Love Bone • Stardog Champion [1990] Ned's Atomic Dustbin • Grey Cell Green [1991] New Order • Regret [1993] Pale Saints • Thread of Light [1992] Redd Kross • Jimmy's Fantasy [1993] Ride • Taste [1990] • Time Of Her Time [1992] • Chrome Waves [1992] Senseless Things • Everybody's Gone [1991] • Keepsake [1993] Sonic Youth • Kool Thing [1990] Stereolab • French Disko [1993] The Stone Roses • Elephant Stone [1992] The Sundays • You're Not The Only One I Know [1990] Swervedriver • Duel [1993] Teenage Fanclub • Star Sign [1991] Throwing Muses • Counting Backwards [1991] Ultra Vivid Scene • Special One [1990] Velocity Girl • Audrey's Eyes [1993] Edited April 9, 2021 by DownInThePMs Ivan1997GTA and naughtygawdxci

Genre: 80s-90s Alternative Rock & Indie Pop Host: Quentin Barrett Type: Dynamic Description: A radio station featuring mostly alternative and independent artists and bands, and one of the largest and most diverse stations in Carcer City, as far as tracklists go, with over 60 tracks from both years combined. Regardless, the station is very popular among college and university students. 92.5FM. This jingle was sponsored by Nothing Soda." kobeni
Sophisti-pop station for that same concept. It's a bit like Ultor FM in Saints Row 2 in that it is also owned by a seedy multi-national corporation headquartered in Carcer City. Don't want to include jingles and description because the corporation plays a big role in the concept's story. This also doubles as a wishlist for a ballad-y pop station for GTA 6 if it's set in Vice City. Trinity Pop Radio "Pop music with sophisticated sensibilities. Vice City Public Radio - Pressing Issues (The same as GTA VC and VCS.) - Hear Our Voice (A programme about the victims of unfair treatment in Vice City.) - Global Report (Same format as New World Order, a show on VCPR's GTA VCS version hosted by Dwayne Thorn.) - Mrs. Green's Nature (A programme about the nature and wildlife within Vice City, somewhat similar to Gardening with Maurice and Wild Traveler - both being WCTR (GTA SA) shows- in format. 2. FIZZ! Vice City - FameChat (A programme combining features from K-Chat and WCTR (GTA V)'s Chattersphere, which was 'co-hosted' by Michele herself.) - Home Invasion (A first in GTA due to its format, inspired by MTV's Cribs.) - The Stalker (Basically a show about a paparazza stalking celebrities.) - FIZZ! News (Due to its nature, this station is the only one not to feature news breaks from neither VNN nor Weazel News. All about celeb news.) 3. The Frontier 1226 - Just or Unjust (The same as the original show on GTA IV and EFLC's WKTT.) - Red Alert (A far-right programme against immigrants.) - In Search of Old Glory (A show about a right-wing-leaner on the road to find the true right.) - Jack's Dungeon of Doom (Hosted by Jack Howitzer, he reminisces the 'good old days'.) All the shows have 5 episodes each, in order to give importance to the hidden gem of the Grand Theft Auto franchise: talk radio stations! I've done the idents of each radio station. Here it goes: 1. Vice City Public Radio: - "VCPR, because all the talent isn't on commercial networks.' - "Why be brainwashed by the right-wing bullies when you can listen to commercial-free, quality content? Tune in to VCPR." - "Some only care about themselves; we care about our listeners and the planet we live in. VCPR, Vice City Public Radio." - "VCPR, because we hold your favorite shows hostage until you donate us." - "You're listening to the oldest active talk radio station in Vice City, because the conservatives and the fascists have always failed to silence us. We are VCPR." - "If you want a fairer world, donate us so that the power of people can be heard everywhere. You're listening to Vice City Public Radio." 2. FIZZ! Vice City: - "This is everyone's favorite celeb news source. This is FIZZ! Vice City!" - "If you're searching for a fizz, look no further: FIZZ! VC is here for you!" - "Do you wonder what your celeb crush is up to! Yes, you do; otherwise you would have changed the station by now. We are FIZZ! Vice City!" - "You're listening to the best radio station in the world! #FIZZVC" - "FIZZ! Vice City, because nobody gives a $#!+ about the famous people of Vice City as we do!" - "There is nothing sweeter than a fizzy drink, right? That's why we're here, now in VC. FIZZ! Vice City!" 3. The Frontier 1226: - "The Frontier 1226, because you're either with us or against us!" - "Why waste your money on the PC lefties when you can be a fervent patriot? You're listening to The Frontier, 1226 AM." - "This is The Frontier on 1226 AM, the best source of true entertainment for the real Americans like you!" - "Who in their RIGHT mind would beg for money? Immigrants and the liberals, apparently! Welcome to The Frontier, 1226 AM." - "What do we want? Free America! When do we want it? Now! This is The Frontier 1226." - "Are you looking for justice? Are you worried that those softies and the illegals are taking over? Do you miss the good ol' days? Do you fight for America's freedom? You're in the RIGHT place, at the RIGHT time! We are The Frontier 1226!" I tried my best. Hopefully you'll have an even better idea about these talk radio concepts. 😁 On 2/25/2021 at 4:35 PM, RisingStar said: Update. kobeni
Last station that I'm posting from the WIP concept. It's a new agey type station that's a cross between The Journey and Radio Del Mundo. Astral Voices of Carcer City "Ascend to a higher plane of existence with a fine selection of pseudo-ethnic new age tracks." Genre: New Age & World Music Host: None (A Whisper MacBook voice states the artist name and track name before every song) Type: Dynamic (No commercials) Description: A new station that was absent in GTA: Carcer City, AVCC plays an eclectic mix of world music, ambient, krautrock, neo-classical, musique concrete, synthpop and new age, ranging from electronic artists such as Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno and Vangelis to more worldbeat and ethereal wave-inspired bands and musicians such as Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil and Bel Canto. The music can be best described as chillout with a gothic or tribal twist. Jingles: Spoiler "Music for derelict airports. You're on AVCC." "Astral Voices of Carcer City. For those awkward moments when you somehow end up in the metaphysical realm from the bathroom of a club mid-drug bust." "The tail-end of a century gives way for a globalized, spiritual awakening. AVCC." "Society will cease to function in 7 years anyway, so why not bask back in a daily six-hour long meditation routine to pass the time?" "So you've lost your job, divorced your wife, the last factory in town's closing and now you're now forced to contemplate your life decisions.
