Which original radio station should get updated next?

I voted for Radio Mirror Park since i didn't knew that the "hipster indie rock underground yada yada yada" could sound so good and I'd like to listen to more material like that (Currently looping through When You're Out by Kauff). But I believe stations like the Low Down, Wroldwide and Space 103 deserve more cool songs.

Saints Row 2 had The Krunch 6.66, I believe it was called. A pretty cool radio with then new and modern metal like Lamb of God, Chimaira, Trivium, etc. Well, most of that is still modern metal to my ears. I definitely wouldn't mind something like that and some Soundgarden and stuff in GTAO.

At this point I would purge every single one of the original stations. We're just about eight years into the game now. Give it another two and we're talking an entire decade. Hearing the same 15-20 tracks over and over again for all these years is tiresome af. I don't even listen to them anymore (haven't for years), I just use Spotify on PS4 and update my own playlists or pick stuff manually. It's the most convenient and best option of all obviously, but it's more fun and realistic to listen to in-game stations.//

 

My pick was Channel X. I believe they already added a few songs to LSRR at one point, even if that's many years ago as well. But I don't really like Loggins (as DJ) or LSRR anyway, I don't like the musical direction they took it in except for a few songs (maybe 25 % of it). I like most of the songs on Channel X although I'd rather have some real hard rock or heavy metal, or even the grittier coke rock from GTA IV, but R* seems to have something against that nowadays or in this game.

 

If not a modern metal radio than why not a classic metal station? Both glam and thrash metal were massive movements in California during the 1980's and early 90's. That could be something closer to V-Rock. I'll dream on.

imho, Rebel Radio, LSRR, and WCC all NEED to be updated with new music. and with the game being based on LA, why in the F*ck is there not a Metal Station?

 

oh, and NSP needs new music too.

I voted on Non-Stop Pop purely because all songs in there were incredibly outdated for a pop music radio station even by 2013 standards...Now in 2021 is like listening to songs from a time capsule of sorts.

 

But Los Santos Rock Radio is also in a high need of a update and reshuffle of the playlist, some songs in there like Circle In The Sand should have been on Non-Stop Pop because they don't fit the theme at all.

 

I would also add Radio Los Santos too, but the rap and hip hop game of US in 2021 is just mostly mumble rap garbage(I know there's more out there but as far as goes on the radio, it's just that), which is already covered in the iFruit radio and Still Slipping, so a update for RLS is not really that much needed, but would be welcomed.

 

Frankly, all radios needs to be updated, which is something I suspect we are getting with E&E anyway.

 

Oh and Channel X just needs to be done away entirely, that station is just pure garbage...Revamp it into what Radio X was in San Andreas, now that was an awesome radio that I could, and actually did listened to for years.
