Need Some Help with Some Weapons

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all.

Since I finally reached Rank 120 with a testing Character today, I decided it's time to copy the Rank of my Character to a new Character and stick to it.

I still haven't got any Mk II Weapons, but I tested some of them before (without a few Attachments). Anyway, I made up my mind, and decided to use the Heavy Revolver Mk II (IIRC, this is a must), Pistol Mk II (for EWO, and some stealth gameplay), Mini SMG (my Drive-By Weapon, and I like how it appears to be similarly built to the Rocket Launcher, with both metal and bakelite), Assault SMG (for some stealth gameplay, but may change my mind depending on what will said in this Topic), Combat MG Mk II (as my go-to Weapon to go loud at mid-range), Carbine Rifle Mk II (maybe for some stealth gameplay, but may change my view depending on what will be said in this Topic), Bullpup Rifle Mk II (a secondary main Weapon when I need to go loud, but with more Accuracy), Heavy Sniper Mk II (for use with Explosive Rounds), Marksman Rifle Mk II (for use with Large Scope for medium to close-to-long-range killing, but may use it as a secondary Sniper Rifle depending on what will be said here), Assault Shotgun (my go-to Weapon for CQB), Pump Shotgun Mk II (for use with Explosive Slugs), Grenade Launcher (a mus), Homing Launcher (a must), Rocket Launcher (a must, and I like how it appears to be similarly buildt to the Mini SMG, with both metal and bakelite), Minigun (a must), and the Grenade (I don't use other Thrown Weapons, since I don't like how they look, despite they may be useful, and looks are important for me). Now, the questions, below.

1.-) Despite I'm digging into the Mini SMG as my Drive-By Weapon, would it be advisable to use also the SMG Mk II? I heard it's a great Weapon for Motorcycle/Boat Drive-By shooting, and that it's also good for stealth gameplay. Is the latter true? Would it advisable to also use it for said role? Or am I better with the Assault SMG for it?

2.-) Since I'll be using the Heavy Sniper Mk II with Explosive Rounds, I'll in the need of a long range Weapon for stealth gameplay. Is the Heavy Sniper with the Advanced/Thermal/Night Vision Scope and Suppressor a good weapon for it in case I needed to go sneaky? Should I use the Marksman Rifle Mk II with the Zoom Scope for that role? I'm already planning to use it with the Large Scope for medium to close-to-long-range killing, but I'd like to know if this role is still good, despite I don't get to use Aim Assist. Will using the Sniper Rifle (the first proper Sniper Rifle you unlock in-game) with a Suppressor be advisable for when I need to go stealthy?

3.-) Which are the recommended Attachments/Rounds for the Mk II and regular Weapons I'm planning to use? I try to use the Scopes, Extended Magazines and Suppressor whenever it's possible (I don't like the Grips, since they don't just do it for me).

4.-) How many and which Weapons should I acquire to put a Suppressor on when I need to play Missions that require Stealth, or are easier with it? Since I want to make the most out of my Weapons, and that includes being able to play some Deathmatches, which Weapons should I use a Suppressor on for this? How much of an advantage are Muzzle Brakes? In which Weapons are they mandatory?

Sorry for the lengthy Topic (I cannot do a TL;DR, since I feel everything is important), and thank you all for reading.

You can't have a normal Heavy Sniper and Heavy Sniper MK2 at the same time. I use the explosive rounds on the shotgun and armor piercing on the Heavy Sniper MK2, since the explosion rounds are only good against vehicles I think they are a waste of potential on the sniper. The rest is a matter of personal preference, I prefer large mags on automatic weapons so I go with standard ammo. I use the Bullpup Rifle with silencer since it's relatively short, so it looks not too odd in close quarter combat. Shotgun MK2 with silencer looks also badass but have not tested it yet in the combination with explosive rounds. I make little use of shotguns, so it's the ideal choice for me to use as a special weapon with explosive rounds, on the shotgun they appear also to more usefull against as npcs as on the sniper. Heavy machinegun MK2 is definetely worth it, very powerfull weapon.

As for drive by, I think the AP Pistol is considered the best choice for that.

Hey Aquamaniac, thank you for replying.

I know you cannot use two of the same Weapon at the same time, but I was asking if I were to use the Heavy Sniper Mk II with Explosive Rounds if it is advisable to use the Sniper Rifle (the one you unlock at Rank 21) with a Suppressor, for when stealth is required or advised, or if the Marksman Rifle (both the original and its Mk II counterpart) is just as good for said role. In the end, I want to know if using the Sniper Rifle with a Suppressor, or using the Marksman Rifle with a Suppressor (and the Marksman Rifle Mk II with Zoom Scope and Suppressor) is advised if you want to keep a long-ranged Weapon for when stealth is required/advised, or even when you have equiped the Explosive Rounds on the Heavy Sniper Mk II.

Have a nice day.

Pistol Mk II (for EWO, and some stealth gameplay)

Don't be a pussy and take your deaths like a man, and if your pistol has a suppressor then EWO won't work with it. Plus stealth mechanics are broken in this game anyway but if you really need that EWO feature then take off the suppressor.

The only good thing the Mini SMG is good for is rate of fire, recoil and accuracy are a bitch with it, pretty much the same case with the Micro SMG.

For said role you would be better off with a AP Pistol with all attachments or even the Automatic Pistol from the Lowriders update(Tec9).

I am not well-versed in the SMG Mk2 for drive-bys to comment on it, but I suppose it's a upgrade from the regular SMG in all areas which means it may outclass all the other SMGs and allows it to be used in drive-bys, I would pick up one of those myself but I'm too attached to my AP Pistol, I just love the sounds when I fire it.

It's great weapon for said role but if I were you I'd keep the explosive rounds on my heavy sniper Mk2 as that's the best deterrent for jets and Deluxos and use a Standard sniper rifle with a suppressor for stealth roles, buy a thermal goggles helmet on the clothing shops, save on one of your outfits and equip it with the sniper rifle if you need the thermal goggles for that.

The standard sniper rifle is severely underpowered even against NPCs but headshots with it are one-shot one-kill except on very rare circumstances, plus you can kill more than two enemies with a single bullet from it, great for taking out multiple targets at once.

@Gaffa has access to all the data from the weapons and can give a better insight on this.

Personally I use all attachments I can use but I heard some of them are just cosmetics, no idea which ones though.

I'd keep a spare assault rifle and standard sniper rifle with suppressors, sniper rifle for NPCs and assault rifle for players and NPCs.

You dont really need more than that.
