the fact that you'll never know EXACTLY what happened is a big part of the Blackwater Massacre, so they never will, and they never should make it

Snuck up on all inside with the bowie and slashed their throats. So yes. Slashed. Not to mention the workers in the garden outside. And some guards. Must have been over ten lives at least in total. So definately a massacre.

Logged on to try them out, they're boring and the pay sucks but at least it feels like something my character would actually f*cking do unlike Naturalist sh*t

 

Outrider is a good farm for the "Kills as couch passenger" though if you care for that sort of thing, given it's basically impossible to get without another player otherwise

Would be nice if they added some other reward than just gold, xp and cash. If for instance they included the chance for a cosmetic reward like 'stolen hats' to drop into these missions then it would also add to the replayability.

You don't have to kill the maids, you can just pistol whip them and knock them out.

I did one mission the other night with stealing the white Arabian.

 

I haven't felt the urge to log back in since. I'm probably going to save these telegrams as a bonus way to level up the next Outlaw Pass.

That's kinda of what I have done with the bounty hunter update.   I have slow played the F out of all of them just to keep the game going and more interesting.  I think I have actually only completed the Annesburg Infamous bounty, and not the others.  I have done the new legionaries, but only once on my account, I make my friend start them up on his because he has them all 5 star.  I've been logging in only briefly on the weekends, and I don't think I logged in at all last weekend.

If they could add missions like this thats so simple so easily then why couldnt we get more? And why couldnt this have been done way before? Its like they really want this game to die. I cant even play the showdown series because i cant choose the kind i want, you cant just choose death match. I hate playing the team modes because my team always somehow loses because they arent playing the objective. So i log on just to do at least one moonshine sale and a couple small moonshiner missions. This game is so dead. And i freaking hate spawning out in the woods, when are we getting actual houses or hotel rooms?

Occasionally the "short term" ones added again (corset, hitched skirt, etc.)

Even those are added very seldom.

I actually got that from regular missions, mainly from the free roam ones that are often escorting the wagon (some train clerks, whatever.) But this is a "sure thing", yeah.

Ha, just read that you wrote "couch passenger"; yes, that is how I play this game

What am I missing?  I've collected the letter, read the letter, gone to Emerald Ranch, but I get nothing.  Even tried starting it up from opening menu and I just get spawned in a lobby as normal.

In your inventory, under the Letters section you will find something about Telegrams, select the mission in there and it will load a new session with the mission.

Also you don't need to be anywhere in particular.

I started the horse mission first because I was near emerald already.

The mission teleports you to the start location every time.

Excellent point about choosing which game you want to play.

The only reason I suspect they don't is because they'll have to drop the modes no one likes, then they'd need to come up with something to fill the gap, though it appears they've dropped Sport of Kings again because it was so badly glitched.

If I feel like an open target race, I don't want to have to do a few other first, and I don't want to spawn in several minutes into a match, where you have no chance of doing well, and none of the daily challenges count.

It's sa terrible 'system'.

It’s actually not under letters but instead is in a new category called Telegrams

We are getting more of these missions. They've leaked like 2 minutes worth of dialogue from Josiah, the guy who you bring the Horse/jewelry. Rockstar said to expect more of these in the future as well. My guess this will be drip feed content until the next "big" update. At least, imo these missions are more fun than the stranger missions, and even pay better and lately it seems like they are giving more missions that earn you gold (bh expansion with more missions and you can exchange role xp for gold, now these telegram missions) Before we only got some bounty hunter missions and stranger missions that earned you gold, now we are starting to have more variety of missions that gives gold

All of these simple missions shouldve been added from the start though. Gtao had alot of them at launch, like titan of a job and blow up. Just simple missions you can do.

Its ass backwards, even Stranger Missions were just the same five missions in a different wrapper.

I couldn't start these missions ("Telegrams" is greyed out in my satchel), then I realized I hadn't played the Moonshiner part of the Online Story, so I'm doing that now and hopefully that'll let me advance the story further.

 

Q: Are these stricly Solo missions or can you play them with a friend?

The escort wagon one is REALLY helping me get the miles on that

"travelled as coach passenger" (as another player said, above) , for 10  .4 gold resets. 

 

It is a sure fire way to do it at least once  play session, solo and relaxing 

(while shooting a few dudes.)

 

Another way that counts (for coach passenger miles), when not solo, is to jump in a wagon/kick out the driver

then get in the back. Then, if it is one of the wagons where this works, you can just

fire your six gun with regular ammo/whatever is the most economical and keep the horses

pulling you along a road; I find that kind of irritating and laborious, though, so I like this solo telegram thing more.
