Can't even enjoy due to griefers

My view is, Rockstar already has my money (yours, too) and wouldn't give it back. There was enough about the game that I enjoyed to purchase it and I've found more since the purchase--so it's just a matter of stripping away the crap to get to the good parts.

 

And that's what solo lobbies are for.

Exactly, you cannot encourage player interaction without having the best and the worst come out of the player base.

 

And it's the worst who drive many of the "long term" and I dare say probably monetarily motivated players away.

As for playing this game, I log in, take some pictures, give my babies their exercise, shoot a few wayward fools, greet a few players before I log off to play Fallout 4 or story mode. Anymore I might spend a few hours playing solo every few weeks, maybe I'll play with my husband if we aren't playing the first RDR online version for a few hours but even that's short term. 

I log in to roleplay because I've become attached to my character, but without the hope of the ability to expand on my character's story I have moved on. 

There's still a far off hope that I cling to that R* will do something real with RDRO, but I don't hold my expectations high anymore.

It's a shame that 2k and R* can't break free from Take-Two. I'm waiting for the day Take-Two begins to destroy Civilization.

If I had developed something as amazing as Red Dead Redemption 2 was I would be pretty upset that the online, with such a great chance of being super successful, is being destroyed because of greedy hands. Unless you find where the fans are located nobody really talks about the story anymore, but you hear left to right how bad the online is.

That is not a good look for anyone.

And this is the reason why I built up my free aim ability, if I am in defensive and they still want to play I usually get my point across and leave before the other player has a chance to throw a tantrum. Some have called me out for cheating. So I promptly point out to them that they were the ones to shoot at a player who is in a state that not only plainly tells them that I am not wanting to play their game. But that it is also a mechanic in the game meant to keep me safe from their foolish antics, and if I have to shoot at them to give myself time to put space between us, and I happen to kill them it is not cheating.

Maybe they shouldn't mess with a high level player in defensive mode if they don't want to deal with the blow back?

Loooool, just took a look at his profile (after he started doing this again in the GTAO section) and yeah, it seems he's just trying to stir sh*t up in both places for no reason.
