I hope for the trilogy but in the newswire they only mention GTA III, maybe they do a special Schedule 2021 GTA III, 2022 VC and 2024 SA...it's too early to call...but when i Saw the GTA III mention i almost die of hapoiness

Lol that's unlikely man. It's the same engine and they would look outdated AF compared to the remastered trilogy.

Anyway the newswire post pretty much confirmed in a subtle way that the remasters are real and that they will probably release in October.

Kinda weird though so many games 2 months in a row.

But a GTA3 without Lazlow, MSX FM, etc, no Frank Vincent, other actors who have died who'd need to be recast unless they're using the original audio which has fairly stilted direction compared to games these days (it was Vice City onwards where direction became more natural).

I would imagine they'd use the original recordings and just do their best with them. I wouldn't expect a full on remake. More of a nice looking remaster, I think.

I mean... I have speculated elsewhere for some time that this would be a great way of getting some GTA content on the Switch, considering it's very unlikely VI, V, or even IV will make it onto the console. I'd happily buy it for the Switch should it come.

Gonna be mildly sad if its vanilla switch port, but I do expect to see eventually trilogy on Switch. after all Switch is the perfect place for old games to get second wind.
