The reason it's a major red flag is because RDR2's map is smaller than GTA V's map. It just feels bigger because you travers it significantly slower. (Horses are slower than supercars and planes, who knew!? lol)

And because the fake leaks are saying the game has multiple cities in a map smaller than RDR2. Therefore GTA VI would have multiple cities in a map smaller than GTA V, which doesn't make any sense at all.

I think this is a solid estimate of the size.

Hi Len,

that I did understand, but I was talking about if the leaker spoke about the ENTIRE RDR2 map. So including all unplayable areas/regions (where you for example fall through the map). 
If that is counted towards the size, it would be much bigger than both GTA V's playable map and RDR2's playable map.

However, if it would be smaller than RDR2's playable map, I would find that indeed a very big red flag. Not something I would believe either... R* increased the landmass of their games with each game. Yes even RDR2's landmass was much larger than GTA V's, but only 30% (or something) was playable/accessible. 

I would find it highly unlikely to see GTA VI be smaller than RDR2's playable map. It sure as hell wouldn't make me happy in the slightest.

I still don't agree. The playable map for RDR2 is smaller than GTA V's map all the same. Besides, all the fake leaks that have mentioned the map being smaller than RDR2 have had laughably bad details included. Regardless, we know Project Americas is likely to be true. And with that being the case, it's practically impossible for the map to be smaller than GTA V, let alone RDR2.

Why is it best to assume the worst? He left in Spring 2020, but took a sabbatical a year prior in Spring 2019. If you ask me, it's more than likely he decided to retire. Also, Dan seems to be the most 'famed' brother online. But it's really Sam who has the most control. And he's still there. Anyway, the main point was that GTA VI will be in Vice City, and surrounding areas. And odds are it will include smuggling into another country. Weather that's South America or Central America is up for debate. That's the basis of 'Project Americas'.

 

Oh and this discussion has little to do with the trilogy, so expect these posts to be moved.

Sure. You see, last October I bought a project pickup truck. I thought it would be relatively quick and easy to get going again. Like most projects though, things went south pretty fast...

I pretty quickly realized that the engine had some severe issues, so I pulled it out. Around this time is when I started posting about it on social media and the forums. The original engine had already been rebuilt previously in it's life and the block was bored .060" over. So the block was junk. It also had a couple bent connecting rods. So I bought another engine from a buddy in the shop. Supposedly a brand new motor that was in his project car for a long time, but it never ran. Around this time I posted the truck would be able to pull a trailer in less than 90 days. So I eventually take a week off of work and install the engine in my truck. I got it running, but unfortunately it was quite clearly not firing on all cylinders and had a huge amount of blow by gasses coming out of the valve cover. Tried a few things but nothing fixed it. Took a look at the header tubes with a thermal imaging camera and found several that were 300° less than the others. So, on Wednesday this week, I drove the truck to work and pulled the engine out. Tore it down and found 5 (out of 8 ) broken pistons. Apparently the engine sitting for so long caused the piston rings to rust to the cylinder walls, and when I started it for the first time, pop, broke all of them. So now I am waiting on my new pistons and rings to be delivered, and I have missed my own 90 day deadline. 

 

Also, I have no f*cking idea when the GTA Trilogy Remakes are coming, but I strongly believe they are.

I can’t see these remakes happening. If the rumour mill is to be believed then R* are working on GTA VI, GTA V E&E, a RDR1 remake, a GTA trilogy remake, Red Dead Online and GTA Online. Seems a bit of an overstretch considering all hands were on deck for RDR2.

'All hands' were on deck for RDR2, while also managing GTA Online, GTA V NG, L.A. Noire Remaster and VR Case Files. Point being they've always been able to handle multiple projects, and done outsourcing. So far two of those studios have been acquired, and became Rockstar India and Dundee. The RDR1 remake or remaster was always a rumour based on practically nothing, though. So I wouldn't even count that.

As long GTA trilogy ( hopefully remakes that are loyal to original work but with some new fresh stuff and not almost carbon copy remasters with minimal effort and minor updates to work on next gen consoles ) releases, GTA VI can wait. 

 

I am pretty much in a limbo right now wanting to replay the trilogy all over again and waiting for the possible announcement to happen, if it ever happens.
