ImDangis
Hi there, I'm in a bit of trouble here. I made an install of GTA SA with just SAMP 0.3DL installed, alongside Cleo and Modloader with nothing inside of them. Whenever I join a server, it shows GTA in the taskbar, changes my screen resolution, though it doesn't show the game itself, nor does it give me audio. I can't seem to fix it. May anyone help me? LeatherJacketSoldier
It happens to me everytime I try to run GTA SA in single player. My screen flashes black, my Windows theme changes to default because it says GTA SA isn't compatible with my desktop configuration (don't ask, I won't know the answer), and it just stays there. There are two solutions: . First one: wait for about one to two minutes for the game to start. Go to the bathroom, drink some coffee, whatever you want to do in the meantime. The game will start eventually. . Second one, which I use almost always: open task manager and end the process, not the task (this applies at least for Windows 7, for 8 just end the task); this will restore also your Windows theme. Then open the game again (there's no need to be too quick, doing it under 10 to 15 seconds will work), wait for the screen to flash black, for the Windows theme to change to default, and almost instantly the screen will turn black and EAX logo will appear as usual: your GTA SA has started. 3 hours ago, ImDangis said: it shows GTA in the taskbar Though, this doesn't happen to me. Maybe the same problem has different symptoms for different computers. But I'm pretty sure my solution will work for you. If it doesn't, try the usual solutions: delete gta_sa.set and/or replace gta_sa.exe with a fresh new executable. You might also want to try, if all of the above doesn't work, putting gta_sa.exe in the Data Execution Prevention exclusion list, if you don't know what I'm talking about, look for "gta sa dep control panel" on Google or something like that, it'll explain better than me. LeatherJacketSoldier
Hmm... Usually I had that file even before starting the game for the first time. Uninstall everything and then reinstall the programs one by one, but check if the game runs after each reinstall (the first two, of course, have to be GTA SA and SAMP, in that order). I think your problem may come from one of the programs. As a general rule, a problem can't have more than one cause. If you find which program causes the "early freeze", download it from another site (unless you remind having an issue when downloading before, in which case you should try to download again from the same site). One last thing, you already tried clicking in the GTA icon in the taskbar, Right?

Yes, I have tried clicking on the GTA Icon in the taskbar. I also installed clean Windows 10, and instantly installed GTA San Andreas, and whenever I open it, this is what happens now; 1) icon pops up in taskbar, clicking on it doesnt do anything 2) screen resolution changes to 800x600, 3) game closes after like 3 seconds and resolution switches back
