GTA LCS/VCS on PC?

After all these years I would still want to experience these two classics on PC. Just the way they are, no need for any kind of a "special" treatment in form of remaster or similar bs. Reasons behind why they have never seen the light of day on that platform are vague at best. It is understandable that they are somewhat older titles, but still. Honestly, VCS is easily the most underrated GTA game and it is certain that many people would be happy seeing them on some of the digital distribution platforms for PC.

possible PC Port in 2015-16 or maybe a remake/remaster, LCS was the best game for me atleast , if they both were made on renderwave instead of leeds engine than they would dethrone SA imo ehh but R* only wanted to cover the back stories (especially Dan houser) that's why they created those two games , San andreas didn't required a back story sequel bcz R* already released a "introduction" video for SA , but still the gameplay mechanics and details for VCS and LCS was insane too 

 

 

But yeah the story for both games were outstanding aswell , The heavily influenced 80s Coke one and the sopranos one 

i would love to see movies from Rockstar Games like that , just straight mo caps for 1 hour

Of course I would want to see it on PC. I don't think anyone would say no to that question. But realistically-speaking, it's not going to happen. Rockstar doesn't have any interest in those games anymore. Besides, there are fan-made conversions anyway so just play those. I recently played @Ryadica926's Re: Liberty City Stories, which is a total conversion mod for Vice City that builds LCS on top of it. I added a few additional mods to make the camera better and it felt just like the original games. In fact, if Rockstar stole it and released it themselves as the official PC version of LCS, I wouldn't be able to tell it was made by a fan entirely on their own. There isn't a steady PC port for VCS yet, at least not one that's finished, but we can be hopeful that one day, somebody will do it.

 

At any rate, if all else fails, just download a PSP/PS2 emulator, get yourself a gamepad, and play them that way.

Ash_786 worked on a total conversion of VCS with a bunch of other modders for 10 years but they had to scrap it because VCS' mission scripts are heavily encrypted on both PSP and PS2, and they just couldn't decrypt them. If R* ported VCS to mobile, the mod would be finished by now.

porting them to windows or ps4/5 and xbox would be too much work for R* perhaps? Or they think it would not make enough money to be worth the cost and trouble.

they never ported RDR to pc or ps4/xbox-one either. Neither did they remaster GTA4 to ps4. they could have added Liberty City to GTA online

Correction: It's RenderWare, not "renderwave". And the "leeds engine" is called RSL.

It feels so good seeing this poll being so unanimous. There's great hoping Rockstar and especially T2, will start taking care about the franchise in a more 'non-corporative', less ruthless way as well, by seeing things through the community's eyes. The entire 3D universe lineup on PC is decimated with bugs, cut content, removed features and on top of it all, not seeing almost half of that era there at all, is the ultimate form of negligence..

 I doubt they will bother. LCS and VCS aren't very well known. and not very impressive either.

and probably too much work for the programmers and it probably won't sell much anyway.
