Why are snapping turtles small when you shoot them but massive when you pick them up?

Because you are the center of the universe, and everything around you is affected by invisible Size Rays that emanate from your toes and fingers.

When things are close to you, they get bigger. If they get farther from you, they shrink until they get so far away that they disappear entirely. It must be upsetting to know that things disappear if they're not around you, but you shouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Oh-- and when you sleep, everything stops until you wake up.

Just wondering 😀

I really can't believe someone is asking why things look bigger when you're closer to them.

The real question is how is Gus able to turn all those massive animal heads and antlers into a normal sized hood?

No, you misunderstand me!

I am not saying that when I am in Rhodes snappers look small and when I get to Lagras they are big.

I mean when you kill one and are standing next to it it is small, but when you pick it up it s nearly as big as your character.

Try it.

It does seem that way:

I notice because I regularly have the "hunt a turtle for the trapper" resupply (at Stillwater, in Hennington's Stead, which is SUPER FAST!)

I may have to drop an NPC next to the dead turtle, seeing if it seems the same as when I pick it up to put it on the horse (the size comparison.)

Maybe it is just because the turtle is "flat", so it doesn't seem huge on the ground?

You ever kill the "small" gators, which you can put on your horse? They are like that kind of also.I mean when you kill one and are standing next to it it is small, but when you pick it up it s nearly as big as your character.
