[PS5] GTAO Sign in to PSN issue

So, yeah, I only come crawling back when I want something from you.

I just had some time to kill and I figured I'd boot up GTA (PS4 disc version) on the PS5. I've had it working before once, right when I first installed it (around PS5 release day), so I know it should work. The game does boot up, puts me neatly into story mode, but when I go to the Online portion of the menu it says I need to sign in to PSN. 

Problem is, I am signed in to PSN, with a Plus subscription still going. I do get the option to press X, but when I do that, the screen wipes to black and in the upper left corner it says "Playstation Plus", but it never actually goes anywhere.

 

As far as googling it goes, I get the impression that I'm the first to have this problem. Obviously, that can't be the case, so I figured I'd check if anyone here knew something.

I’m having the same issue.

Same. I signed out of my account and back in and that worked for me- I’m back in. Happened just now. Good luck.

I tried that right away as well, but it didn't work for me.

Tried again after being away from the console a while. Suddenly it worked. Apparently the planets aligned.
