Hi.

I am still wondering about the bull moose icon next to Painted Sky.

All I have seen there are cows and never a bull.

Is the bull supposed to spawn at the same spot as the cow?

Would you be kind enough to provide some info about where you saw this bull moose?

Any specific chapter? Any particular time of the day? etc.

It is in fact an actual spawn point, going by the Animal Locations maps on Nexus Mods, so I assume it's just extremely rare/situational. I did recently run into a moose (albeit, not a bull) not too far from the Dakota River, but I'm fairly certain it was one of the spawns closer to Wallace Station and Cumberland Falls.

 

Incidentally, I had to reload that save (my horse ended up getting killed by a train when I was clothes-shopping at the Wallace General Store. By the time I realized what had happened, it was too late ) and never came across that specific moose again. Again, it's very much situational. EDIT: Thankfully, it was only a two star pelt, so I didn't lose anything substantial.

 

That said, if it's anything like the other spawn points, the gender is random, so just reload the save until you get a bull. I've had to do that several times for both the Cairn Lake and northeast Ambarino locations. For the latter, go to Fairvale Shanty and set up a campfire (it should put you around The Loft), sleep until morning and make a save immediately after tearing down camp. Ride west to the spawn point and you should be able to find a moose, unless you've recently killed one elsewhere.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I think you misunderstood me.

I am not looking just for any moose. As I mentioned, I am looking for the bull moose next to Painted Sky.

With having done just about everything in Story Mode, I'd thought I would try this endeavor of getting all the icons.  Is there no way to legit spawn the hooded oriole, and grizzly by the cotera springs area?  I get plenty of baltimore orioles, but no hooded.  I've also been camping around Doddy's Bluff to try and get a Grizzly to spawn with no luck.  Being on Series X, I don't think mods or a trainer will do me much good.

Quick Update

 

So I was almost done with the map, I just needed the Parakeets from the swamp but unfortunately the New Game+ glitch doesn't respawn them so I decided to attempt this on PC since I can use mods to make my life easier

 

I noticed that for some reason some of the location names do not appear when you go there (Lake Don Julio House for example) and when I start a new game it gets fixed but then a new location gets bugged (Rattlesnake Hollow) How do I fix this? There are currently 2 locations bugged and I can't get the names to appear, not even when saving and reloading the game

So the grizzly near Cotorra Springs is a myth (never seen one there) but you can find a grizzly near the cliffs by the railroad between the house where the kids starved and Valentine. You can then lead it towards Cotorra Springs as for the oriole I genuinely don't remember how I got it, I might have lead one there from Big Valley or maybe stayed there with binoculars until one spawned

Yes that's the location I meant I just didn't remember the name. Also I managed to get Rattlesnake Hollow to appear on the map but I'm missing Planters Baun, it isn't appearing at all

I assume you have to lure that bear close to the coterra springs spot.  I killed him where he spawned, and no icon popped up.

 

After a few tries, I was able to glitch the grizzly into acting like a black bear, and drove him on the tracks the whole way.  Popped him there, and the icon finally showed up.

I am having the hardest time finding the wild mint a little northwest of Carmody Dell, I have searched that entire area, even went to Moonstone Pond a picked some, and it still didn't give me the icon. Any help on where I have to pick it from?

Yeah you need to go to the river at the bottom of Bacchus Bridge and pick up the wild mint there. It's the only spot that works

I can't get sign of Robard Farm north of the Rhodes in Southfield Flats. Anyone get it?

Ok i get it now. You have to first enter house and second go around house and loot the dead woman behind house not vice versa. Also if you did it vice versa there is a solution to this. Just replay mission from Chapter 3: The Course of True Love - II and go there with Arthur and do it like i said step by step and sign will appear on the map then just finish the mission and you shold get it

Honestly I have encountered every small bird possible in New Austin except for Orioles, Sparrows and Western Songbirds. I've found like 30 groups on Scarlet Songbirds but not a single Western one. I've only found one rock in Hennigan's Stead where a Western Songbird can spawn so I might have to lead it down the desert (will be very hard, since the bird always changes direction, there is a cliff and it always groups up with other birds)

 

EDIT: I managed to get them all! Thanks for the map tip. Now I just need the Parakeets and it's complete

Did you ever get to discover all the Parakeet icons? My problem is with the fourth icon in Bluewater March since there is no Parakeet spawn there.

There is no spawn point in Bluewater March. So how do you get the fourth icon without using a trainer?

If you see a group of birds, drive slow and follow them, then drive a little ahead of group of them. When you got a chance, shoot them down!

Hi, I know I am way too late but I used your map combined with some guy who uploaded all the plant locations on imgur. Huge thanks to both of you, I have acquired all the icons(I've checked about twice by now.) One of the guys pointed out a berry above the owl icon in elysian pool and I've thankfully found it too. I just wanted to let you know that this map doesn't have MICAH'S HIDEOUT marked on it. Apart from that, I guess you've got 99% of the icons if not 100. Thanks again.
