Continue script even when pause menu is active

Hey,

 

is it possible to run scripts even when the pause menu (or other ui's) is active?

I would like to let the script do things in its tick method.

 

Is it even possible in C# scripts, or do you need to dig deeper with like c++ asi scripts or something?
