watda144
So I originally got the CD version of GTA 1 like a year ago and I decided to play it today for the very first time. When I actually click on the file to play it, it shows the error 296.473. I've gone into all the files that seem correlated to playing it but I don't know what needs to be modified and changed. I have the plain CD/DOS version of the game and have a Windows 10 computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! -Michael Edited January 27, 2021 by watda144
watda144
*UPDATE* I found a fix for it! 1. Make a shortcut for your desktop. 2. Go to compatibility on that shortcut. 3. Tick run in 800x600. 4. Tick make compatible for Windows 8 (if you're using Windows 10).
