What have you spent your heist money on?

I've never been a heist player in my time on GTA as I prefer solo so the new update has unlocked a huge grinding mechanism for me and I've never had so much money in the game! What have you spent your hard earnings on so far? Here is mine, started out with 500k after buying the sub and now sat on 3mil

 

Submarine upgrades - sparrow, guided missiles, weapon workshop

Toreador

Vigilante

Oppressor (original)

Deluxo

APC

Terrorbyte upgrades including drone 

Nightclub upgrades (additional storage, more staff and another garage level)

Upgrades to nightclub sell vehicles 

Office garage 

Meth business (fully upgraded)

Coke business (fully upgraded)

Upgrades to all other businesses

Hangar upgrades

Weapon upgrades 

New clothing

 

That's it so far, plenty of money spent that I hadn't had chance to get round to. Next on the list is the Akula

Arena Garage plus Gunsmith and Benny mechanic, build a Nightmare Dominator so far, want an Impaler and Bruiser too

Some bikes, MK2 Weapons, Bunker supplies, Clothes and upgrades for some cars I already had plus some cheaper cars to check them out

 

still have a base Kosatka though and won't upgrade it, only got a new paintjob

I'll let ya know when the next DLC pops up, lol. I was lucky enough to have had more than enough in the bank before this, but it's nice to read others are getting plenty to buy some older expensive content and things become more casual.

I recommend the weapon workshop for the Kosatka - I've found it useful for stocking up on MK2 ammo etc rather than calling in my terrorbyte. I can just spawn in the sub and grind the heist without needing to go out much! 

 

Only upgrade to the sub I don't see the point in is the sonar - not getting that

You can use a quad lens helmet & normal scope to get thermal that way but it's a pain especially when every 2nd place you enter makes the helmet disappear and you have to constantly reactivate it

Well I don’t recommend that upgrade. It’s the only cell with 2 beds and a bathroom in the Sub! Besides already got that upgrade at arena workshop.

while i have made some 17 million from this heist, i bought everything with old money, so this new money wont be spend probably til the next update by then probably some 100 million will have been exported from cayo perico

Like Lonely Martin, liquidity wasn't a problem before CPH. More cash is always welcomed though.

 

Anyway, after I bought a bare-boned Submarine to get a taste of the heist, I bought the following stuff so far:

 

- Grotti Itali RSX, 3 of them.

- All upgrades for the Kosatka.

- RO-86 Alkonost.

- Annihilator Stealth.

- Sparrow.

- Avisa.

 

I'm eyeing the boats next, I'll buy the Longfin, Kurtz 31 Patrol Boat & Weaponized Dinghy soon.

Since money isn't an issue and basically not having the space to buy new cars is more of an issue I guess most is spend on the setup cost for the next one.

I started the Cayo DLC with $11m in the bank. I bought the Toreador, Sub, and Sparrow. That drained the savings account to below $5m.

 

Now, I have robbed Rubio of $45m in jewels, tequila, bonds, cash, and his drug stash.

 

I haven't bought anything shiny and new as I am waiting for the heat to die down as Rubio will know who has been robbing him when they drop fat stacks of cash so quickly after his merchandise has disappeared

This is a great thread. @GTAScott91, wow, I am impressed by all the awesomeness you spent your heist money on. This thread and all the goodies people are buying with Cayo Heist money makes me wonder something. Is there some HUGE change coming in 2021? Not just with the PS5/Series-X launch of GTAO, but is anyone else a little suspicious of how insanely profitable this last update ended up being? It seems like anyone who puts enough money together just to buy a Kosatka, has basically all they need to very quickly save up for literally everything in this game they could want, all the upgrades, all the businesses, all the big money makers, and all the toys. I won't lie. I am enough of a conspiracy buff that I can't help but think that this may be signifying either a very soon ending of GTAO's current reign on online gaming, or that Rockstar is planning something so huge, and so expensive, that the PS5 launch of the game will be massive.

 

Because I can't speak for anyone else, but in a way, the Cayo heists have effectively broken the game. One purchase of the Kosatka and adding just the Sparrow to it, forget about all the other goodies, and a player literally has no need for grind loops (Terrobyte Missions, VIP Missions, Import/Export, other heists, and all the various Cargo), selling the MC Business goods, races and jobs, etc. Hell, even Casino Heists are sort of antiquated in a sense, since you need other players, and have to work times and strats out with friends or deal with randoms. Other heists even more so.

 

Is it me, or has Rockstar either completely screwed themselves over, due to not having thought this through, and broken the in-game economy? Or is there something really huge coming for the future of this game? For me, I didn't need the loot from the Heist. I bought the sub on day 1 and all the upgrades without batting an eye. But the money I have made in the last 6 weeks is...quite literally insane. Just wondering what all of you think about this massive Stimulus Package we got with the Cayo update.

especially seeing rockstar have been making billions out of shark cards who needs them now?

buy one at the start to get the sub then run cayo perico endlessly

I have similar thoughts and my guess is that updates for current gen will soon stop. This means all the money becomes more or less worthless, let's say you have a trillion GTA$ on Xbox 360, what's the point? So the heist is a gift to new and old players to finally buy everything they want before R* gives up Xbox One and PS4. On next gen Perico heist might be less profitable, much more difficult or all things more expensive.

 

Not sure about the PC players, but from what I have read they don't buy sharkcards anyways since it's full of hackers. I played on 360 until recently and it was messed up as well, hackers giving me money (without asking), leveling me to level 5000 and other strange things happening.

 

My GTA download on Xbox 1 cost me 12€ (including starter pack plus returning player bonus - I can't complain about R* ), 1.25 Million GTA$ in sharkcards is 15€, so one (or two) sharkcards to buy the Kosatka, earns R* more than selling the entire game. A fully equiped Kosatka is 75€ in sharkcards (are these numbers real - is 8 million GTA$ 75€), let's not forget this. GTA didn't cost 75€ when it was released I guess. Actually things have become sick when you consider that online games as Counterstrike or Day of Defeat where once for free.

 

In terms of gameplay it is a good thing, the richer the people are, the more properties they can afford and the more missions they can host and play with others, since you don't need the money anymore, you can do them on easy, just for the fun of it. Yesterday I bought facility, if some griefers won't let me finish the preps, I just buy the stuff just to play the missions and finals. I might even buy a yacht just to do the missions with others as should be the point for a multiplayer game, playing with others instead of becoming ricidicously rich alone and buy some ugly hypercar.
