RamsaySaint77 Posted January 25, 2021 Share Posted January 25, 2021 It's likely that Joe Lawton isn't the president anymore during the latter half of Gta online considering him still being president makes no sense in the present day. Here's what I think. Lyle Cleethorpes IV the father of Lyle V ran in 2016 as a Republican and won the election, The Cleethorpes being a parody of the Trump family. The pandemic happened in 2020 and Lyle did absolutely nothing about it but play golf and eat Burger Shot, Lyle ended up catching the virus. Lyle IV lost the 2020 election to a Democrat named Rick Hunter a parody of Joe Biden, who is the incumbent president as of Gta VI's events if it takes place in the present day. Lyle IV could appear on a conservative talk show talking about how "The election was rigged by Commies and Gay Lizard people who hate white people" and also that he had his supporters break into the capitol to hold the congress hostage and change the votes to him, which ended in failure. I could see them just inventing new president characters to parody it if the next game was released any time soon, but this totally works. So that would mean that he likely took office in 2005 and served three terms or 2001 and served four up until he's last mentioned. So that would mean that he's already exceeded the real life term limits either way. That being said, what's to stop him just being president until the end of time? They've already avoided Trump and the current RL POTUS is also a man named Joe with a surname ending in N. So imo for GTA VI (presuming it comes before 2025) it seems like an easy transition. Lawton was basically Bush in Gta IV, but in V it seems like he's more like Obama due to Jock Cranley a republican calling him a crony and a impeach the socialist sign found in South LS, I guess the reason Lawton is still president and not some new guy who is a direct parody of Obama is because It could be a swipe at Obama for continuing many of Bush's policies saying the two are interchangeable, At least that's what was said on Tv Tropes But it would be pretty funny though for Lawton to still be president as of 2024 or 2025 and only his political views change, I personally believe Rockstar will do something similar to my headcanon, but it's up to Rockstar not me Edited January 31, 2021 by RamsaySaint77 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
