yeah, I mean the show is good altogether, there's definitely a lot of good episodes and scenes even after Mann left.

it just becomes a bit obvious the tone of the show changes though.

my biggest dislike was in season 4 with Crockett's girlfriend Caitlin.

the whole famous pop singer-Crockett relationship just didn't appeal to me, but I suppose you could argue it was to set up certain events in season 5.

We ended up getting Hackman coming back which was the only good thing from that storyline.

 

A lot of people hated it but I enjoyed the Sonny Burnett arc I just hated that it was short.

Even Vice City had phenomenal underwater easter eggs despite you can't even swim let alone dive.One way V revolutionized GTA games which most people underestimates are underwater explorability and loads of animals game has.

For me, aside from the legendary Crockett's Theme, this is the one that defines the show and the whole mood of the '80s Miami in general.

 

 

 

for me this is one of the best scenes in Miami Vice, perhaps my favorite.

the buildup in the episode, and then this ending scene, it just fits perfectly.

the song mixed with the very empty streets of Miami, the black Daytona, all just really good.

That's my fav concept map,The Guy took Southern/Central Florida map concept from Reddit but also added Colombia,Haiti,Dominican Republic and Cuba.

You probably have Miami,Fort Lauderdale,Fort Myers,Cape Coral,Tampa,Orlando and Daytona Beach,Havana,Santiago De Cuba,Santa Domingo,Port-au-Prince,Cap-Haïtien,Medellín,Bogotá and Cali.

I think final map could be similar to this.

The mere fact we've wanted it since GTA IV should be enough to tell you that the 80's and VC is interesting.

I would love to see Jai Alai featured in a return to 1980s Vice City. Either as a side activity that we can participate in, watch and place bets on, or have some characters in the story who play Jai Alai or maybe we can use those clubs as a weapon lmao.

So what if old games were set in the 80s? What's weird about it being again though? Did they even manage to achieve what was even possible with that limited hardware back then? no. I heard this before "oh but it already exists in 2 old games" We had modern setting a million times now. We could have something equal to Scarface and Miami Vice not really copy like GTA Vice City did, the feel of the 80s was not really achieved with those old games, everything about the 80s and even better. I liked the idea of male and female protagonist so I kept it for a project I am doing.

There are limited amount of GTAs we're gonna get in this century, so I think it would be such a "waste" to not only return to VC again (GTA 6 is going to be 4th GTA with VC setting) but return to the same time period as other two also??? Why would R* want to do the same satire and aesthetics again, instead of trying something new, like 80's carcer city or 2020s VC? It would've been just as boring if GTA V had returned to 1992 LS, instead of trying to be it's own game with original theme and doing satire of a completely different era. GTA VC was already inspired by scarface and miami vice, so you want GTA VC, but with better graphics? What is there left to explore about 80's miami?

Better graphics isn't it but yes kind of in a way, and...what even aesthetics did the old ones get? the music and colors, the sort of mixed story from the movies?, Think about this, the greater feeling of the 80's isn't there in the old ones, you put a modern setting and 80s in real life they are completely different. Even with Miami Vice and Scarface, have you watched those? They had that feel of the 80s, I more talk about the other stuff, the way people were behaving, the fashion and hairstyle, the different culture, not really specific stuff like music.

 

The old games didn't do it well that setting. It will be like a simulation of the 80's , realistic, now with what Rockstar is capable of like we saw with the leaks. It is nothing like today. Miami is very iconic to the 80's that's why other locations might not fit well but they can work too perhaps as long the story is good.

Male and Female protagonist can create a very unique story, based off the drug trade and other crimes and can be even better than those movies in its own way, how I thought of it.

Colombia- Markus Burke, he supplies white powder to other cities

Vice CIty- Thomas Branigan, he manages drug empire of vice city and is biggest drug lord

Las Venturas- Walthar Wallace

San Fierro- he/she 

all othem will rise to top in their respective cities and they all can help each other doing so, it would be cool if story starts in 1970s and end in modern era

\people complaining how they don't want an 80s setting, in an 80s topic. "i'm glad they didn't go back" It's like complaining in the main topic about the opposite thing.

The current one as long as it isn't too similar to V it will be great, for example the people act the same or even worse than 2013 so I don't expect much of a change with pedestrians. The club scene from one of the leaked footage was that typical "hood" talk of today.  It is modern setting so it makes sense anyway.

People change through the years, they talk different, they behave different. 1980s and 2020s people act completely different.

Not just how they look.

 

Also modern day we've seen it a million times now got too tired of it. I can enjoy it but I find different time periods more interesting for story mode.
