Penthouse garage

Anyone know why my Penthouse Garage won't hold more than 8 vehicles? Whenever I try to add the 9th I get a message "Garage is full".

Sounds like bricked spots from moving vehicles around where they should not be. Ever had any planes in garages or pedal bikes on garage floor or anything like that? Or received vehicles from friends with a glitch?

Nope. I'm 100% legit through and through and play on XboxOne and haven't seen anything strange.

Can you put one of the cars you already have stored in that garage into one of the empty spots?

No idea then. What happens if you try to buy a car to one of the penthouse empty spaces? Are the rest of the garages you own full of cars or empty spaces in any of them?

I have two rundown apartments with 6 slots each that I have no problem filling with cars I steal but the Penthouse won't accept a 9th car. I found that out when I won one on the wheel and it wouldn't put it in the Penthouse.

I think its a bug for a few people when I look on Reddit.

Ahh Well if that's the case probably best to buy a larger or extra garage. Not worth losing something off lucky wheel if it's down to a bug. If you buy more storage and then get a car in the penthouse it sounds like a bricked spot though.

When you try BUY a vehicle to that slot what happens? You not sold message or what?

Interesting. If I buy a car from Los Santos for zero dollars (on sale) that I don't want, and have it delivered to the Penthouse garage, it tells me the garage is full (only 7 vehicles are in there) and lists the vehicles to replace. The list shows my 7 vehicles along with 3 destroyed vehicles that I assume are in the "unusable slots". If pick one of those destroyed slots my vehicle is delivered there. Repeat for the other slots and now they're all filled.

 

So, it seems destroyed vehicles that were originally in those spots still lay claim to them until replaced or sold.

You lost me. I mean sounds like destroyed vehicles you should have just called mors and claimed them. But you are too high rank not to know that? Confused

Destroyed uninsured vehicles. I vaguely recall there being a problem like this many, many years ago.

What's hard to understand? I'm not a car collector and most of my vehicles are from Warstock. The three cars that were messing me up were won Podium cars that I never wanted and were worth zero dollars so I destroyed them. What doesn't make sense is the three empty slots were still tied to those cars.

 

Anyway, I recovered the cars, sold them for nothing, and now have my slots open again.

Ah, so Mdc does have a point. Podium vehicles naturally come with insurance, so destroying them won't remove them from your garage; only overwriting/selling would do that. It is pretty nooby stuff.

Umm..... I've destroyed a lot of cars over the years that I stored in my other 6 slot garage and I could still use those slots for other vehicles. It was only the Penthouse that gave me an issue. 

Anyway before this gets into a noob discussion, thanks to all for helping me with the issue.
