paperbagdude 5,179
I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, and it's really no big deal, however: Β The signature of when a post was last edited was implemented some time ago, and though it really isn't a big deal, it seemed like a lot of people missed being able ninja edit their posts. I understand that it is in some cases useful to record when a post was last edited for various reasons. However, when it comes to typos, grammatical errors etc. discovered upon re-reading, it is a bit of a shame that the authenticity of the original post is lost, because an edit was made minutes after posting. Since we won't see the return of the preview option anytime soon, would it be easy to implement a countdown after posting, in which you are able to edit the post without any editing recorded?
Rhoda 7,106
I'm not against the idea per se, but I don't see the real issue in having that little "edited by" line in, regardless of whether you went back to correct a typo or you returned to rectify a mistake.
