Yes but don't buy them.

Chark Sards as I call them. Your better off grinding for a submarine with Sparrow and doing Cayo Perico.

No Chark Sards needed.

Coming from a passionate solo grinder.

Don't buy one, you might think about the starter pack if it wasn't already included in your version but the shark cards are ridiculously expensive, for the prize of one fictional supercar in GTA you could buy an entire Forza title with plenty of real supercars.

Even if you start this game with no cash whatsoever, there are a lot of YouTube tutorials about grinding 300K an hour without owning a single business (check TheProfessional YT channel) Doing Casino heist finales as a guest is even faster.

In less than a couple weeks you could have enough cash to get a Kosatka submarine and do a Cayo Perico heist almost every hour with a minimum payout of $1 million each.

You could earn the equivalent of a $100USD Shark Card and more just by grinding this heist on a weekend.

If you join in on heists as a guest, take whatever the host gives you and follow their lead. Don't act entitled "cuz i need moneys" and don't rush in and get killed.

If you have a mic, use it but don't be annoying.

If you prove to be a valuable asset, you'll make friends who will help you when you host your own heists later.

As enough people have voiced why you shouldn't purchase them (& I agree with them), to actually answer your question:

No they don't go on "sale prices", however there are occasions that they offer bonus $ when purchased at specific times.
For example an offer for a week may come up for the Great White Shark Card that gifts you a bonus 50% into your in-game account.
I think the largest I've ever seen was a 100% bonus for the Megaladon Shark Card.

Things are not as easy as in these guides, as for the Casino Heist, you need a host who knows what he does and these guys will not invite rookies, all Casino heists I joined failed, and the two I hosted earned me about 400k each (70/30 and 50/50). But with the bounty hunting, the Solomon parts, the serial killer, you have a good start. Then doing missions over and over again. Maybe he finds somebody who takes him on a Perico heist and gives him a 85% cut, this is more likely to happen as successfull Casino heists.

Yh they do...jokes and hate aside, if you have the money and wanna a lil boost go for it, especially if you don't wanna spend or have time grinding (which is honestly a massive bore)

maybe you wanna just play around and enjoy toys, cos if starting now, theres a lot to choose from...

spend your hard earned money how you want! if you are a kid, get off gta!!

I've seen sale prices on the PSN pop up occasionally. I'm sure the same will happen on XB and steam. You also used to be able to buy physical gift cards at places like Bestbuy and Gamestop/EB Games that would also go on sale.

Be wary of any online retailers selling discounted cards or offering free cards unless you explicitly trust them.

Some do. I did most of my heists with low levels and I give an 85% cut to people under level 100 when there is only 2 of us.

With all the different treasure hunts and the bonuses for using the weapon you get from them there is a decent amount of money there. All you really need is money for a sub and you will never need to buy a shark card ever. Even just doing the Cayo heist and not collecting any secondary loot gives around a million per heist and 8 times is $100 saved on an over priced shark card. It is even less with collecting secondary loot. Just doing the heist once with a few bonuses from awards should give enough to buy a Sparrow and it will be pretty easy to do the heist in an hour and get over a million for it.

Thank you everyone for all your feedback! I bought one card for 50 so I could get my vehicle storage and so far that is helping me get a decent amount of money, I should have enough to buy a submarine very soon and can't wait to do the Cayo heist. Thanks again!

You bought a shark card for your first submarine? Ok, then ignore the rest of this post.

Here's how to make easy money as a new player in 2021:

Open the phone, go to Quick Job, select Cayo Perico Heist and accept.

You may get kicked from the job a few times, but eventually someone will give you a shot.

Just don't ask for more than 15%, it is a 10 minute job and the host spent hours to prep it, and if you have 2 bags full of gold you get something between $270k (Tequila, worst) and 330k (pink diamond, best)

I agree with this, but I think ranking up a little and getting some combat skills on the way is essential to at least reduce the chance of getting kicked from the lobbies.

I mean, no one wants to do the heist with a level 8 knowing they'll fail the heist in minutes.

Edit: depending on your platform, you could check out if anyone wants to do the heist with you: https://gtaforums.com/forum/298-find-lobbies-players/

I remember buying the megladon card which was over £60 but it came with an additional $12 million so $20 million in total.

If cards were £10 for 10 million GTA$ i would probably buy one every week!

Hey, ignore all the people saying you shouldn't buy shark cards, if you want to skip the grind that's perfectly acceptable & thanks for paying for future dlc 👍

You'd definitely need shark cars with all those Russians apparently blowing you up all the time

Thats completely unrelated, i've bought 3 over the course of 7 years, all quite early on & all with at least 100% bonus, i would've bought more (i've got like 7-8k hours in the game across multiple platforms by now & fully acknowledge that i've 'earned back my investment' 10 times over) but for at least the past 3 years i've seen no reason too, none of the DLC's released in that period really made me grateful enough to want to give them extra money, and making ingame money keeps getting easier.

I just feel like people need to stop being so high and mighty, if somebody has the funds and doesn't want to waste the time, so what? let them, like i said (and what should be common knowledge by now) shark cards pay for the dlc, stop telling others how to spend their money & just accept that people like this guy are why the game is still getting updates.

You are definitely the kind of person I would want on my team and also have as a friend. Don't ever change, stay exactly the way you are because it is people like you that make a game fun. Thank you for voicing your opinion!

Don't buy the vehicle warehouse, buy the Kosatka submarine right away, and the Sparrow upgrade if or as soon as possible.

The Cayo Perico heist will pay a lot more than Import/Export. If you use any approach with guard disguises it will also be easier.

I think it's less of people being all high and mighty and more about letting OP know that buying Shark Cards is not that good of an investment, seeing how they don't have great value for how much they cost.

If OP (or anyone else for that matter) wants to still buy a Shark Card or two, more power to them, people are only trying to make him do an informed purchase, which ironically enough, pretty much consists on not purchasing at all in this case.
