Greywing65
I thought the idea of having divining rods in order to find objects would be cool. It would also be appropriate.

IamCourtney
Would be cool but we already have "metal" detectors that can actually sense pretty much any known material...

Dark Spark
Divining rods work as nothing more than 'indicator needles' to changes in your own body's muscular tension as you psychically perceive the object. In other words, your own "Spidey-Sense" is too subtle to notice without some sensitive thingy to visually amplify the changes in tension, so you use a rod or line or whatever else to show it. In other words, the real detector is you, not the rod. We already have that, in the form of a radar screen in the corner that gives us white blips from time to time. I live in the Shenandoah Valley area and it's still a thing around here. I had a long convo with an Uber driver who is also involved with water wells. Some people swear by it but others refuse to dig in any location that's been "witched".
Krommer
Yeah, already the metal detector acting as pretty much the same thing. So though different, would seem a bit redundant (plus, as a previous mentioned, "diviner" rods were/are basically a scam; if I recall, it was usually associated with finding "water." ) Besides, the "metal" detector already detects any object in the ground which does not just have "tracking sparkles" without it always being "metal"; quartz, stone arrowheads etc. are merrily found with it. RyuNova
With respect, no. Can we have less sh*tty "walk around until the controller vibrates" Roles/additions? This game needs something significant, not Heists per se but something.
