How can this game allow game-breaking modding to such a rediculus extent?

There is NO other game where you can log in and get caged, teleported to the end of the map,then teleported again, then killed over and over again, then just frozen in place, have your IP revealed and then your game crashed altogether.

 

Trust me, there is no other game where that exists.

 

Lets ask ourselves why? Can't Rockstar afford to fix it or they don't want to?

Ahh, but surely by buying their games/playing them on PC with all these years of long known troubles, you're giving them a pass too.

Don't bother, PS5 still runs on 30fps (it is actually the PS4 version), except it actually runs at 30fps stable, not unstable 20-30fps like PS4.

 

OnTopic: the game allows modding because Rockstar made a critical mistake: they trusted the client, and used Peer to Peer system, instead of running lobbies on actual Server-Client system.

Then they made the same mistake with RDR2, which is the sole reason I didn't buy that game. I wanted it, but I found out it was using P2P so Rockstar is not getting my money again.

Not if you stay away from GTA Online and shark cards, and you only get the game for story mode or modding. I hear FiveM is particularly nice this time of the year.

Ehh no I mainly play with my friend f*cking around only time I join a public session it’s to grief players. But I see what you mean

Fivem is cool but terribly optimized I get temps at 70 to mid 70s but I like theivaneh server. And are you serious the morons at rockstar can’t be bothered to change one line of code in their game to let me play 60 fps

Sure, the morons at Rockstar could change some code, should be as simple as removing the 30fps cap. Sadly, framerates don't sell games, graphics do.

Maybe the "expanded and enhanced" version for the PS5 will run at 60fps, but we'll have to wait and see. In the mean time, PS5 users are stuck with the PS4 version at 30fps.

And I wouldn't be surprised if the PS5 version is going to run 4k 30fps eventually. Even the PC version can not maintain 60fps at all times in GTA Online.

PC version has been around since what? 2015? In about 5 years since release, PC has been sh*t, and no matter how much you complain or try to address the problem, indirectly on forums such as here or directly to Rockstar, they won't do sh*t. They won't fix the game, no matter how much you push them. They literally only give an ear out for major bugs on console, because that's where their main consumer base is at, those are the people providing the most revenue. It is an endless battle, which you - the consumer and user of that game has lost already.

 

In that case, you can either stick around for a broken game version, suffer and not enjoy the game relatively as much as us on console, or you can ''give in'' and actually make the switch. Rockstar doesn't care about you nor the PC version. Whether you switch to console or not won't make them think any different about that.

Exactly why I like the pc version rockstar doesn’t care so the whole is broken. Plus I learned to not take games serious, I just have fun from I don’t grind or anything I even stopped doing camo challenges because at the end of the day it’s pointless, and if you haven’t read where I said I suffer from motion sickness you wouldn’t have typed the idiotic statement you did, even with 30 fps I suffer some motion sickness it’s not fun for me

Copying what mistake from what I seen rdo hasn’t had a update filled with depth in content like gtao

... The P2P side of things. RDRO is no less problematic for PC users and R* show they can't, don't, or won't do better for a while yet to make it safer for their customers.

 

GTA:O can be forgiven for mistakes and underestimating the games potential. RDRO shows it's deliberately cheap.
