Rockstar's disappearing animals when they are required for your dailies...

So if the daily is skin two alligators, or pluck two specific birds, or whatever,  okay...   Except one problem, all the alligators have gone missing or that specific bird which is over populated any other day has become extinct.  I mean I literally ran through the entire bayou and the swaps with zero concern because no freaking alligators anywhere.

Why on earth would they want to make your grind even harder by intentionally removing animals required for dailies?  Makes no sense when they could be making this game more enjoyable.

Sometimes switching lobbies a few times helps.

It’s not just animals, Free Roam events requiring PvP aren’t frequent enough when it’s tied to a daily and so are others.

For example, a couple days ago a general daily was to defend a Settler’s Camp — normally these happen all the time, but the day it’s needed for a general daily I couldn’t get a single camp defense event to trigger even once!

Or boats when you need them...yep, it's definitely a thing.

Any other day you're (quite literally) tripping over whatever it is.

You should have seen it (though I wouldn't wish it on anyone) a year ago when the game was far more broken, some dailies were almost impossible.

Although it's much better now, they do change something to make it harder.

The best solution is to find out which missions feature access to certain animals or vehicles and keep a list or at least some way to access a resource which helps sort these things out.

Solo sessions help a lot if that's possible for you, but there is still a scarcity of the required type of animals.

The last time I needed possums or skunks it took a while before I found 2 of them, and normally they're everywhere in the Heartlands even in a solo session.

Oh, I forgot to mention: for random encounters (camp defend, hideout, etc.) opening a treasure map that has it's search area near the spawn point of the desired encounter can help.

Kamassa River map for example will very often pop a camp to defend or a stranger to rescue in the search area.

Use the interactive RDO map to pinpoint the encounters:  https://jeanropke.github.io/RDOMap/

The other day something like that happened to me with goose, but alligators ? That sh*t is new, and outrageous

Lol... I've noticed the alligators too...(and birds).  Being able run around freely in Bayou Nwa without alligators hugging the shores is crazy.  Sometimes I'll find one at Harriets in Lagras when this is happening but it will take another 30+ minutes of searching around to find another.  Any other time the area is over populated with them.

Like when it's snowing..........when alligators would not be out there in the real world. 😄

LOL my friends and I were just discussing this the other day. Its a common theory apparently. Rockstar knows daily challenges are popular amongst the playerbase, and they also know players log-on just to complete the daily challenges then log-off. I don’t think Rockstar appreciates players farming gold in such short play sessions. So what do they do?

Theoretically, Rockstar could reduce certain elements of the game that coincide with daily challenges in an attempt to increase the time that players are logged on. Maybe Rockstar’s strategy is to prevent players from finishing their daily challenges by delaying or reducing certain things from spawning?

I agree with you. Everything R* has been doing is an effort to attract players and keep players in game longer while spending more money.

Their actions just show that they feel the game isn't working out the way they had hoped but it's their fault. Listen to the players and problem solved. But noooooooo......just keep plodding along with a failing master plan.

The funniest instance I remember this happening is with ravens. Normally you can't walk 5 feet without seeing ravens but it actually took me a while to get 3 when it popped up as a challenge.

I always try and keep and large supply of frogs in supply for the 20 carcasses daily.  It was such a pain in the snow to search for them... lol.

It's a good idea to build a reserve of things you know you'll need for dailies or whatever whenever you're out and about doing other things. Saves time down the road for sure.

Suddenly all those ravens are crows. 😆

Today we had a daily with driving trains! Usually they are quite common but today before doing a infamous bounty I didn't see one.

So my conclusion is when people are looking for certain things in a area like trains, campsite or any specific animal they won't spawn due to to many players around.

But at the same time they keep statestic how long we are on!

I noticed around Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 when they tell investors how the game is performing we get stuff that keeps us on for longer.

So when you say that the game is rigged against us you are not wrong!

God, they're doing everything they can to force people to buy gold bars.

More frustrating is when you have to get repeater kills in a showdown and when you join one you just have throwing knives.

But I really think everyone needs to get out of the habit of doing dailies. Because that is really all it is for most people. You can get gold far easier doing missions now. It was worth doing them when it was 0.5 for each but you can get 0.32 ever 15 minutes doing missions and it's guaranteed. You can spend an hour chasing around for a bird for maximum of 0.25.

It was "pluck 1 hawk" for me the other day...Rathskeller Fork is guaranteed to have a hawk or two hanging out there.  3 Session hops and then a solo session and still no hawk.  I went back later in the evening in a solo and still didn't see one.  As I was riding away I heard one and got it.

Its the same if you do the trick to get an empty lobby (PS4) it will not give you the option to sell moonshine for highest price its alsways the lowest no matter how long or how many days pass. R* know we can get single lobbies and adjust things to suit

true. ANGUS, at wallace station, he's my gold-mule since the beta days...kind of neglected him and went in hard for the dailies! ever since the streak-change though I visit him more often again, and it still pays. I max out the mission (timer), collect items and/or hunt for some skins in the meantime, then grab the money and gold when the mission is done. AND, there's almost a 50/50 chance of treasure hunters popping up when you return to the station, or right after the mission ended.

When did that start?  I sell my moonshine to preferred buyers in solo lobbies all of the time on PS4
