IllregentHUN
I'm currently playing L.A. Noire and I read that's the closest it gets. Is there any other realistic one? Maybe set in modern times? Ivan1997GTA and trip
Craigsters
that is the closest you'll get, the rest are horror based adventure like Alan Wake's and maybe the evil within "You don't understand! He's looking for his missing wife essentially, but there's zero detective work involved from a gameplay standpoint. Jason
Disco Elysium is a detective CRPG, though it's fairly short.

This, although it's less focused around detective work and more an 8 hour technicolour introspection of someone suffering a psychotic break. trip
The old(90's) Sierra Police Quest series. Old as hell, but fun police work. Blues and Bullets is kind of detective'y Beat Cop is interestingly fun. But... too bad there wasn't another LA Noire. You make a good point - we need a good detective series. IllregentHUN
Thanks for every suggestion. I hope someone will make other games like that, since I haven't found anything that Rockstar would consider making another one.

Depends on the game I suppose. Tales from the Borderlands is way different then The Wolf Among Us and such. Carbonox
There's always Dick Tracy on NES if you like a bit of "healthy" challenge to go with the detective work.
