Thx4Hlp  Story mode is a solo lobby to start with.  For Online mode the short answer is also yes. There is a config file you can add and it makes you play in a solo lobby, and as it is a config file and it is an "add" and not a replace I believe that it would not be a violation of the rules.  I don't remember what that file was but I'm sure you can find it with some research. But before you decide to go that route I have a couple comments:  1) The solo configuration will also prevent you from joining a posse.  2) You can go "L" to bring up the menu, then Online and set to Defensive mode to avoid most of the griefing. Just keep in mind that the game is buggy and after certain missions you'll find yourself left in Offensive mode and need to reset to Defensive by hand again and again.  3) The RDO griefer and hacker problem is much smaller than GTAO's. There's been times when I played all day long and never had a single issue. When you do encounter one it is often good enough to go "P" (pause menu), Online, and then start a new session (which puts you in a different server and away from the jerk(s)).  Given all that I might mention that I largely play solo, without using the solo configuration file, and have issues with griefers or hackers only about once or twice a week.
lost-in-emotions 793
Only once a Week is once too much 😉 I remember what stress i had, as i encountered several money drops on me over the years in GTAO. Support Ticket, dont buy too much, rarely play, wait to money wipe and hope not to get banned unfairly. So i want to avoid completely encounter(s) with random strangers in the public lobby.  Whats with the Solution like in GTAO -> With a Bandwidth Limiter force the Game to transfer lower rates? Much enough to play online, but low enough to force a single lobby. I think this would be much legal as other ways. Because it only simulate a bad bandwidth. And this is really normal in some states worldwide 😉
zPhoenix 208
OK then, if you want to see ZERO other players in online, then you need to find that configuration file I mentioned. You might need to do some googling for it.  Based on some old notes I believe the config file is "/rockstar games/Red Dead Redemption 2/x64/data/startup.meta", is in XML format and does not exist when playing in a normal shared lobby... which is what makes me think that it is valid and should not get you banned as you'd be "adding" the configuration file and not changing anything that was delivered with the game.
