The pleasure of sabotage

So, assuming you're going for sabotage (before you say it is not necessary, it is a matter of preference), how do you like to do it? Do you always use Sparrow? Maybe you use a sniper/explosive sniper?

Are you in favor of classic Hydra/Lazer approach?

I only do 2/3, the weapons one is too much of a ballache to do. Sparrow works most of the time for buzzards, I fly to the nearest target in a sparrow  and then go clockwise around the remaining targets. Don't bother engaging the NPC helicopters, it'll just waste time, if you can just maintain altitude and push forward you'll outrun them.

Armour shipments I just fly to a nearby spot and use the grenade launcher, fly off and manually target the last tug.

Weapons: Lazer

Armor: Sparrow (free-aiming missiles) and explosive shotgun (for the warehouse part)

Air Support: Hydra or Seabreeze*

When using an aircraft, I first fast-travel to a location that is both near a target and an aircraft spawn point, like many of the beaches.

*) For those who don't know, the Seabreeze keeps accelerating when you lose altitude (until falling under a certain altitude, under the first large and small altitude markers on the mini map), so you can fly up then down and level, traversing the four locations very quickly.

I only do the armour prep.

First fire a guided missile into the crates and people outside. That should clean them all up. Then fly over in the sparrow and get inside and clean up with the grenade launcher. (Watch the bounce back) Finally hit that tug boat with the sparrow missiles. Usually have around 4 mins to spare. (Sub is stationed at Vespucci Beach)

Way back during day 1 of the Heist when I did go for the disruptions, I just ran with a Savage through all 3.
Piece of cake.

The RC missiles are not really good for the minigun trader, since he can shoot them down, but otherwise they can dispatch the helicopter and Buggy spawns really quick. I also use a explosive shotgun for the armor sabotage. As for the Buzzards... Would a fasttravel with RC missiles still be faster than SummerFreeze's Seabreeze method?

To me using aircraft seemed faster but I've never actually timed it. I find the "fast-travel, fire guided missile, repeat" method a little boring, while I enjoy flying. For the Seabreeze it depends how good you are at bombing of course. With good bombing it should take around 5 minutes, incl. taking the Sparrow to an aircraft spawn first. But the Seabreeze can be landed next to the Kosatka as well.

Radio Controlled missiles, since Kosatka has Anti-Aircraft missiles as well.

i use the akula for the buzzards it gives me the flexibility to use missiles or bombs on them

it comes in handy if you miss a shot just switch to bombs and drop one as you fly over instead of coming back for another pass

Guided missiles and fast travel 👍🏻

This is the only correct answer.

Vaporising people from two and half miles away while I sit on my nuclear-powered Submarine will always be the correct answer.

I just use the Hydra and spray things with the death beam explosive cannon. I've probably spent many hundreds of hours using it for Headhunter and Client Jobs over the years, so it's usually my first pick.

I only really do the armour mission now, which is one quick spray with the Hydra cannon, then a few shots with the explosive ammo Pump Shotgun Mk2 inside, and one last cannon burst at the tug. I think it'd be possible to complete in 3 minutes or less with the Hydra - my fastest is just under 3:20 without taking any risks landing or taking off, and shooting all of the people inside the warehouse.

Isn't it hard to find the targets while flying the missile? Do the targets show on the mini map? I've only done practice shots.

The marker shows up, you just need to eyeball where the actual point is. Once you have done them on foot a few times you know what building they are next to.

Cool, thanks. I was afraid to try it after trying practice shots.

I actually find the Disruption missions to be the most fun of all the Cayo Heist prep missions. I mean, I fly around on my Oppressor or Sparrow and blow a bunch of sh*t up. What's not to like? They are all pretty easy, too, even with the lock on missiles disabled. The only thing that is challenging is killing the Juggernut in the Weapons mission. But even that is doable. I generally only do Armor these days, though, since skipping Weapons and Buzzards gets me to the Finale a lot quicker.
