offline friend on ps4 like a ghost killing people

i was playing with my friend than somone spawned really close to me chasing me i turn around to see who it is and it was one of my other friend and he killed me the thing is my friend was not even connected and he was last online 10 hours ago

i dont know if its a hacker pretending to be my friend because it was so strange

Nothing can be done to stop PC hacking in GTA. If you want a hack free game environment buy a late gen console.

 

EDIT: Apologies finch88. I wasn't paying attention to the title of your post but I hope someone can chime in with a possible answer.
