aaronBLUEeyes
Outlaw Pass Weekly: a weekly rotation to reintroduce items from past Outlaw Passes. Each week 2 items from a former Outlaw Pass can be unlocked similar to the regular Outlaw Pass by investing a few Gold Bars to buy-in then Earn an XP threshold to unlock each reward. This would be a great way for both new and returning players, like myself that played before OP 1-3 and just got back into RDO missing out on items like Copper Gun Metal + Black&White Gunwraps, to unlock limited items and stimulate Gold Bar Sales. AdamNortonUK
I thought of a better way, whereas they could bring former the Outlaw Passes, but they'd be half price as they wouldn't offer the coupons or gold returns but anything else unlockable such a clothing and other limited items, you'd still need to complete it by a set period which would come after you have completed the most recent pass, so presently you'd complete Outlaw Pass 4 in the normal way and then be offered the opportunity to buy previous Outlaw Passes 1 - 3 presently for a bit of a gold but there would be no return on the Gold investment otherwise for Rockstar it wouldn't be worth doing. It'd even work for those that wasn't able to actually complete the former Outlaw Passes in time. kcole4001, XerostarTG, Commander S and 1 other
aaronBLUEeyes
The problem imo with re-releasing an entire former Outlaw Pass at once is that it could compete/conflict with current Outlaw Passes and/or DLCs. Thats why I came up with this idea, for it can sprinkle in former items, no gold can be earned from completing the 2 weekly items and by there being new items each week it will provide players additional reasons for hoping on each week other than completing daily challenges. The Outlaw Pass Weekly info can be updated via SocialClub Weekly Events page along with all other weekly bonuses and discounts. Did you submit your idea to Rockstar via RDO Feedback ? If not, share it with them because the more players that request re-releasing former Outlaw Pass items in a reasonable way, the higher the possibility they might implement something of that nature. Doing it weekly would be too much work for Rockstar in theory as they would have to separate files each week for them to do the Outlaw Pass weekly as they'd have to make major changes to how the Outlaw Passes work, because it's only currently it's contained in one file and with the assets in one location which needs to be changed each time they introduce a new Outlaw Pass, so it'd have to be all in one go or not at all otherwise Rockstar would have to give us an update each week to be able to do this. Which is why I suggest it all being available as it's less work on Rockstar's part and we all know they like to do the least amount of work recently, whilst it could be done weekly if they make changes to how the Outlaw Passes items are unlocked, it's not as simple as updating the tunables each week for items in the catalogue for discounts and the like currently. Weekly does sound better, but it's something I don't think Rockstar would like doing as it's just more work involved for them to be able to do it successfully. It shouldn't conflict with current/complete with other passes, as you will need to complete the current one offered to be able to get items from previous passes, but also the limitation of it being weekly is that some may end up missing some items if they are unable to play for the week the former items are offered, so the previous passes won't have a set end day in mind, because they won't be offering any return of investment such a Gold, XP or $RDO which is why they are currently limited in the hope that some players won't complete it so they don't get the full return of investment. So whilst weekly offered previous items would be a great idea, I just don't see Rockstar making major changes to how the Outlaw Passes work in a weekly format for previous items. They aren't doing much work now for RDO. Maybe a little more is just what they need. They say they're working 100 hrs/week. If that's true and this junk is all they come up with, the future of this game is in a lot more trouble than I thought. It'd even work for those that wasn't able to actually complete the former Outlaw Passes in time. In addition, that'd be something they could do between the expiry date of the newest pass, and the next update/pass however many months later. For instance, OP#3 ends on March 31st (IIRC), but we're probably not getting another update until June/July - that'd give plenty of time to run, say, OP#1 again, and let people who missed out (like PC players!) have another crack at it. Granted, with OP#4 already being in the files (as of the Bounty Hunters update), it might be that they're planning on doing basically that: having multiple passes in a single update, so that they can start one right after the previous one finishes, and then completely fill up the time between updates, so that there's never a time where a pass isn't active. But I reckon that it might actually be better doing the occasional re-run of an old pass instead of two new ones back-to-back, for several reasons: 1) OP#3 and OP#4 feel like one pass worth of content spread thin over two passes, and IMO they'd have been better off making all that just one pass, and then using a re-run to pad out the time until summer, 2) if they only ever run new passes, there might never be a way for folks who missed out to have another shot at old ones, and 3) folks who own everything from an old pass don't have to bother grinding during that period, whereas the grind/FOMO never ends if it's just new pass after new pass, non-stop. For me it’s the Copper & Tempered Steel Gun Metals, plus the Black & White leather gun wraps... and that’s only a couple of the items I missed out on and am aware of — there’s probably much more! Given their level of output and assuming that these are fairly junior developers... It sounds about right. StyxTx
