They're pretty much all the same, unless you were talking about their quotes.

Yeah I meant the quotes. SA cops had some funny lines, and i can hear the LC Police going get that guyyyy in my head still, those lines made them feel bit more memorable.

Vice City pedestrians in general felt more sober/had less funny quotes that I remember. But Vice City was still a really fun playground to experience especially playing the game the first time around.

I wish they did more with Smoke, on one hand CJ coming face to face with him only in the end makes the meeting feel more poignant. But sometimes I wonder if they could have expanded on the Big Smoke-OG Loc partnership more. Idk how exactly but would have been interesting to see.

It would have been funny to have seen a short rivalry between Smoke-Loc and CJ-Mad Dogg, the way Loc got busted immediately after Mad Dogg found him out was a bit lame imo, being under Smoke didn't help Loc in the end he didn't offer him any protection.

Then again the whole rivalry thing could be too soap operaish and the way it was done in the game was more 'gangster'.

One antagonist for whom I felt a bit bad seeing their end was Vlad in GTA IV. First character to be 'executed' and Vlad was no saint but I feel he didn't deserve death, that was ice cold on Niko's part.

Even Playboy, as he is banging desperately on the door to get away from Niko, can't help but feel bad man.

I find it really funny that in VCS, the Cholos, who are said to be heavy into gun-running, have the worst roster of weapons while the Sharks, who look like corny extras from a Survivor music video, wield absurdly powerful submachine guns and assault rifles and run the biggest drug and smuggling rings in Vice City.

I hope the rumoured Michael return in a Vinewood based DLC for Online is true. Would like to see Michael and Solomon again, two of my favourite characters in the series

I’ve always felt CJ acquiring the garage in San Fierro was a missed opportunity.

I assumed over the course the story it would get fixed up over time and perhaps be another source of income. That’s what Kendl seems to imply.

At the very least it would’ve been cool if it unlocked some unique car mods you couldn’t get from anywhere else instead it’s just another generic save point with some more storage space.🙄

Also why do we never get to see Roman’s new taxi depot in GTA IV? For a similar reason as above it’s missed opportunity. I would’ve preferred if we could see where the new depot is and resume taxi missions again.

I honestly found it exceptionally hilarious when Claude bowed to Kenji Kasen that one time and Kenji began yelling at him then he backed up as like “Wow! That went from zero to one hundred pretty quickly!” Also knowing how Claude is, who knows? Maybe he was only at that moment bowing to Kenji just to be a smart Alec. And yes, I know Claude and Kenji bowed to each other in previous missions.

Funny thing is iirc Roman says to Niko in the mission Roman's Sorrow that Roman's dream was to move on from the taxi business and start up a restaurant or a classy tavern like place with Niko.

Then he gets a huge sum from the arson money and what does he do? Build another taxi depot

I get why, free taxi rides are an excellent perk but story wise it's quite funny lol.

GTA characters and their levels of villainy (just my opinion and all that jazz).

Pure Evil (aka worst of the worst): Donald Love

Near Pure Evil (not exactly Pure Evil but pretty darn close): Frank Tenpenny, Dimitri Rascalov, Ray Bulgarin

Inconsistently Heinous (not even Near Pure Evil but a step above average villainy): Trevor Philips, Toni Cipriani, Salvatore Leone

Villainous Benchmark (bog-standard villainy): Pretty much everyone else in the game besides the less violent characters.

I’m also planning on making my own GTA IV/EFLC fan-fiction called GTA B-IV. Get it? Because it takes place before the events of GTA IV. Niko Bellic won’t be in it for self explanatory reasons. It’s set in Liberty City around 2005-2007. It will be about the daily lives of most characters in IV/EFLC prior to the events of the games. I’m also thinking that different chapters can have different main protagonists.

Another interesting idea of mine is one involving Claude and Catalina from 1993-2000. I honestly wonder why neither of them appeared in LCS.

It's pretty funny how Toni Cipriani kills the mayor and just gets a one star wanted level. Not the most popular among the public was old Roger huh

Kind of like how assassinating Steve Haines gives you two stars while taking down an LSPD officer gives you three

I just like how there’s absolutely no investigation into it whatsoever (same with most crimes in the gta series tbh but this is just crazy because a public official is shot to death in public!!!!!)

Its like when Kennedy got shot, everyone mobilized and found the guy in a movie theater chilling. The mayor of Liberty City gets shot? “Aw geez he picked up a weird floating thing and now there’s nothing we can do about it”

I'm honestly willing to suspend my disbelief over plot issues especially in more over-the-top GTAs like San Andreas and V. Hell, I don't think anyone was complaining when Luis was able to jump out of a half-blown out private jet at a high altitude in one piece at the end of TBOGT without succumbing to any injuries from the blast and sudden decompression of the cabin pressure.

For the longest time i didn't know they were different models 😅

IIRC all main characters and even some small random NPC's in SA have different models, the cutscenes ones are more detailed and having more bones. There are even a bunch of mods to convert the cutscene models into in-game ones.

I thought about making a thread in the TBOGT section about that years ago calling out how f*ck stupid it was but I didn’t want people breaking down my door at 3am and beating me over the head with bags of wet salt while chanting “It’s just a game” over and over again until I pass out

The Time Ranger

There's some dialogue in V if you hang out with Jimmy as Trevor, Jimmy basically asks Trevor to buy him alcohol and Trevor is totally against the idea as he's underage, it just strikes me as weird, he's a psychotic killer cannibal who sniffs gas and speed and he won't allow Jimmy some beer, I get that could well be the point, the irony of Trevor being responsible is the joke here but I think it's something else. It's almost like somebody at R* legal said no, we can't have underage drinking, that's a bridge too far. Perhaps it would get them into trouble with the ratings board or something, it may seem weird considering what you can do in a Gta game, but some people take umbrage at the smallest things.

They did something similar in IV, the cops will go after you for drunk driving, it makes no sense, I can speed through the city breaking every traffic law and crashing everywhere and that's fine but go drinking first, that's a no no, wanted level time, and often Niko will make the comment that he shouldn't be driving. Also how do the cops know. It's no big deal, barely an annoyance i'm just curious why, are they covering their asses against potential backlash or maybe it's as simple as they thought a chase with the drunk filter would be fun. Like we all know it's wrong irl but it's a game. It's wrong too to walk around with an rpg on your shoulder but Niko doesn't scold you for that.

Jimmy can go drinking with Franklin, it's just Trevor being ironic

The canon Tommy model is the gameplay one, he doesn't seem to be happy ever since he got out of jail.

Meanwhile cutscene Tommy is happy which means he never had a 15 year sentence, otherwise he'd be like gameplay Tommy.

@The Time Ranger I think they were trying to show Trevor being protective of Michael's kids more than anything, like here's this horrific psychopath who also has a side to him that won't let kids go to the strip club or drinking. Jimmy can do these activities with Franklin like Cutter said.

The IV drunk driving thing, I read they got into controversy for it some organization had actually wanted the games rating to be changed because of that feature lol. Mayne that's why they felt the need to add Nikos comment.

I wish each protagonist in GTA V had their own set of friends instead of all sharing the same friends lmao. I like that GTA V doesn't have any drawbacks for not hanging out with friends but except for Michael and Amanda it's the same group of pals, kind of lame and makes it feel like a small world.

Well you know, every single detail in GTA V's story is f*cked up and rushed. Perhaps the second worst storyline ever in a GTA, at least IMO.

It makes sense in some ways they’d all end up sharing friends from the amount of time Michael, Trevor and Franklin spend with eachother, but it would’ve been cool if they made unique friends met through those random events or the strangers & freaks. Would’ve been way more interesting IMO. The thing I like about the friends in GTA IV are the people Niko ends up becoming friends with are those he’s done missions for and/or he’s met naturally throughout the story.

Also it bugs me some 9 years later Michael can hang out with Amanda and Jimmy, but not Tracy for some reason.

I f*cking love this song. Makes me feel like I can achieve monumental things for some reason

I preferred Radio Broker for a point in time but now my go to rock in IV is LRR. Similar to hip hop in IV, preferred Classics now I like The Beat

My wild head theory is that Tracy was an accident and Michael wants nothing to do with her beyond his therapist-suggested “mandatory family time”.

The first child’s probability of being an accident is significantly higher than the second child’s. I just made that statistic up but I’m sure it’s true
