Two... London 1969 which was a DLC for GTA1, and 1961 was a (mediocre) DLC for 1969.

Thanks.

So we can say that there is no title called "GTA London", but that was how the expansion and expansion of the expansion of the first GTA became known.

(It is also not certain whether "Grand Theft Auto Advance" is just known as that, but it has an official name of simply "Grand Theft Auto").

Congrats :D I never heard of RetroAchievements before but I just checked it out after reading your post and it sounds like its right up my alley (not a big fan of the Viva Las Venturas subset since RNG related things make me lose my temper lol)

good luck with the poker ones, I know from experience that you're gonna stuck there for a while cuz I remember I spent DAYS just playing video poker to land on a Royal Flush, I just watched the TV and didn't really focus on the game all that much otherwise I would have lost it.

Thanks!

I don't think I'm going to make the LV achievements my main priority or anything; with how monotonous things will be due to the RNG, I'll probably just throw on some background noise, jump on my Steam Deck and grind poker for 30 minutes or so before going to sleep. If I find I'm spending too much time on it over the next few days, I'll move on to LCS (and VCS and CTW after that).

And yeah, RetroAchievements is definitely worth checking out if you're even remotely interested in pre-7th Gen gaming. As someone who almost exclusively sticks with the PC versions of the GTA games thanks to the graphical/performance enhancements over consoles, it breathed new life into the PS2 originals and spiced up my most recent playthroughs of III and SA (I finished VC on OG Xbox in between the two).

Yes to the first part, second, well, the cartridge iirc calls it Grand Theft Auto but the box art and the game itself calls itself Grand Theft Auto Advance on the title screen.

Dave Mustaine 1998

These are my personal head canons regarding dates of birth of GTA V characters and in my own fanon universe of it (human characters who were introduced in that game only). Feel free to agree to disagree if you want. This is also all mere speculation.

* Solomon Richards: December 7, 1939

* Wei Cheng: March 18, 1962

* Martin Madrazo: April 24, 1962

* Lester Crest: March 4, 1965

* Michael Townley: July 13, 1965

* Martin Crowley (getaway driver from the prologue): October 4, 1965

* Dave Norton: November 29, 1965

* Brad Snider: May 15, 1966

* Trevor Philips: August 10, 1966

* Ron Jakowski: December 28, 1966

* Simeon Yetarian: May 12, 1967

* Steve Haines: August 27, 1969

* Cui Ho (Tao Cheng’s translator): October 30, 1969

* Amanda Townley: September 15, 1970

* Devin Weston: September 13, 1971

* Chef: April 26, 1972

* Molly Schultz: February 8, 1976

* D : October 23, 1979

* Floyd Hebert: June 26, 1980

* Lamar Davis: December 1, 1987

* Franklin Clinton: March 23, 1988

* Tao Cheng: January 31, 1989

* Wade Hebert: February 12, 1989

* Tracey Townley: November 28, 1991

* Jimmy Townley: March 17, 1993

I think Lester is probably older than Michael and Trevor but still around their age considering he’s the heist planner and the man with the plan. Judging by how he looked in the prologue and the rest of the game, it’s also probably safe to say Dave Norton is within their age group.

Tao Cheng is probably in his mid-20s like Lamar and Franklin. He’s a typical reckless partying heir to a Triad boss. He is also mentioned by Wei Cheng to be his oldest son. Wade is also quite reckless and young and he also gives impressions that he’s probably 24-26 years old like Franklin, Lamar and Tao. He also has only known Trevor for a year in 2013.

Ron is probably about the same age as Trevor considering he’s second-in-command of Trevor Philips Enterprises. They likely have known each other for quite some time in between the prologue and the rest of the game.

Chef also seems like the most competent member of Trevor Philips Enterprises. Him being younger than Ron and Trevor but older than Wade sounds about right to me.

Wei Cheng and Martin Madrazo appear to be about the same age to me. Both very well-respected and sophisticated organized crime bosses.

Solomon Richards has apparently been directing movies since about 1968 so him being born in the late 1930s sounds sensible to me.

D seems a bit older than Franklin and Lamar as well as more experienced within the whole street gang business.

* Derrick McReary: July 20, 1956

* Jimmy Pegorino: May 12, 1957

* Mikhail Faustin: April 11, 1963

* Francis McReary: June 29, 1963

* Phil Bell: June 28, 1967

* Vlad Glebov: August 15, 1967

* Dimitri Rascalov: October 27, 1969

* Gerald McReary: March 6, 1973

* Kate McReary: March 26, 1980

* Little Jacob: April 14, 1982

* Playboy X: April 26, 1983

As for TLAD characters…

* Clay Simons: June 19, 1956

* Jim Fitzgerald: May 28, 1963

* Brian Jeremy: June 7, 1969

* Billy Grey: April 13, 1971

* Johnny Klebitz: January 5, 1974

* Terry Thorpe: July 27, 1977

And for TBOGT characters…

* Vincenzo Pelosi: August 4, 1953

* Tony Prince: March 9, 1958

* Ray Bulgarin: September 6, 1958

* Timur: September 5, 1959

* Yusuf Amir: March 22, 1976

* Gracie Ancelotti: September 30, 1977

* Rocco Pelosi: December 21, 1980

* Armando Torres: May 26, 1983

I'm proud to say that, after roughly a month of on-and-off grinding between my Steam Deck, PC and Retroid Pocket 5; I've finally gotten a Royal Flush and completed the Viva Las Venturas achievement subset!

M6yL1J6.jpeg

Going by the timer in PCSX2's menu (which luckily differentiates the base-game from the VLV patch), it took around 22 hours to complete this set, with 99.9% of that time spent grinding towards a Royal Flush. I was going through the motions at this point, not at all expecting anything productive to come of today's attempts. So it took me a few seconds to process what had just happened; as a result, I didn't take a screenshot in time to show the Royal Flush itself (but I assure you the achievement banner above is legit and that I earned everything via Hardcore Mode). :sadkek:

The only other achievements that were a bit annoying to get were winning Blackjack while having 5 cards in my hand (which gave me 'Nam flashbacks to Gambler 8 in RDR2) and getting three golden bars on a slot machine, but neither one took a long time, per se. For the latter I just, set up a rapid fire Triangle hotkey and fast-forwarded while multitasking until the achievement sound played. With Video Poker, fast-forwarding can only do so much; you still have to sit there and pay attention to your cards, making sure to hold the right ones.

Overall it's not something I'd recommend unless you're the most die-hard of SA fans (getting a RF specifically; for the rest, you can generally brute-force through the RNG by fast-forwarding) , but it felt satisfying to finally master the set. Now I can direct my full attention towards LCS!

Hats off to you my friend! I could never bring myself to do this one ever again, but it still warms my heart to know there are still people out there who are willing to dump ridiculous amounts of time on the PS2 GTA games to achieve stuff like this. 22 hours of fighting RNG is not lightweight haha

Can anyone tell me what the phrases that appear below the GTAForums logo mean? Intuitively, they would be quotes from the GTA series, but I can't relate some of them, for example: "Don't step on the hamster", which is what appeared to me now. I must confess that I skip a lot of cutscenes, I don't know English very well, and my memory is bad. So maybe are all the phrases from GTA, but it's still strange that I can't remember most of them.

I really didn't know where else to post this so ehhhh, hope this is the right thread?

At this point i'm pretty much convinced that Fatboy Slim will be in GTA6, now i'll be the first to say this is a bit of a stretch because its just based on me recognizing songs from GTA in his sets/mixes, but its really strange to me that he's been mixing all sorts of "famous GTA radio songs" into his mixes in the last few years, pretty much since R* became a record label.

Oh and this has never happened before, he never played any of those "famous GTA radio songs" but just suddenly started adding them recently-ish, also he repeats so many songs in his sets/mixes but for some reason a bunch of GTA SA and VC radio songs are in only 1 mix each, never to be re-used again, which really doesn't fit him (no offense intended but he clearly just keeps copying his last mix, changing a few songs and playing that as new mix, every event he plays at this seems to be the case, the mix/set is 90-95% the same as the previous one, with some of the older songs replaced, but yeah, again, none of these "GTA radio songs" ever get repeated, which is strange)

Happened again in his current 2025 tour, he posted this earlier today (timestamped to relevant section)

Am i just desperately hoping for 'better' DJ appearances in GTA6 or do other people also notice this and come to a similar conclusion?

Some of them are inside jokes from old posts on here. No pic no click etc

I wonder if part of it has to do with how GTA has used so many songs in its 20+ years of releases that there's bound to be some overlap tbh

Yeah that's the main reason i'm stuck at "pretty much" (not a 100%) convinced, it could very well just be coincidence, but i keep noticing it, that's mainly what makes me think it could be some kind of hint of things to come or something, because its a recurring thing that cant really be explained as "hes just using songs from x years ago" because of the different time periods of the different gta's involved.

Idk, i both strongly feel like its a hint but am also a bit unsure still.. 🤔 :kekw:

My personal ratings for GTA IV outcomes (besides the endings)

* Spare Darko: 9/10, the slightly more rational choice of the two and this one gives me more satisfaction. My personal theory is that when Darko runs away, he’s either nabbed by the authorities at the airport or commits suicide. It also shows that Niko came to Liberty City to avoid violence.

* Kill Darko: 7/10, still a rational choice. Darko was responsible for betraying Niko and his squad, it gives symbolic closure and removes any chance of Darko causing trouble or resurfacing (even though it’s unlikely).

* Kill Playboy X: 8/10, I’m honestly back under the impression that this is the better outcome. Playboy X blatantly used Niko and is a total snake. It is truly satisfying to get both Claude’s outfit and a free safe house.

* Kill Dwayne: 4/10, dark for the sake of being dark much like killing Michael. You get a lot of money and Dwayne got Playboy X into the whole mess but that’s really the only positives to this outcome. Dwayne is also much more helpful to Niko than Playboy X is.

* Kill Derrick: 7/10, Derrick and Francis are both even bigger snakes than Playboy X and I get a lot of satisfaction sniping both of their bums. However, Derrick is essentially useless, he doesn’t provide anything for his family, he sold out his buddies in the IRA and he was probably the one who got Gerald McReary nabbed by the feds. The only reason I rank it only a seven out of ten is simply because it almost feels like you’re enabling Francis.

* Kill Francis: 6/10, still a satisfying outcome as Francis is highly corrupt. However, I think he set Niko to do this because he felt like he was protecting everyone in this scenario.

Do you think we will be able to check our balance at ATMs in GTA VI?

It'll probably be something like GTA V, you access your account on the internet and are able to see your balance, last 10 transactions and such
