Biggest question is why does THIS TINY ASS territory exist? What's the POINT?

The red flashing one, that is. I'm sure a lot o f people had trouble taking care of that broke dick piece of sh*t territory. Whoever okayed that territory should be thrown into a game of Fortnite.

Well, that's there because that's how the zone cubes were mapped out by R*. If that thingy wasn't there, you wouldn't be able to see the "Temple" text on screen when entering the area encompassed by that particular cube. Anyway, my advice would be to get that little territory first while the area around that cube is still under Ballas' control, then take on the rest of them.

True. Nowadays I always take that turf first just to make sure I don't miss it. Once you take the bigger one I don't think you get a chance to take the tiny one.

Those two-millimeter territories are the bane of my existence. I have no option but to assume they were added in by a bored developer who wanted to mess with players.

I feel like the territory aspect could've been handled so much better than the final product, where it's like a human neither programmed nor tested that sh*t. There was a little speck in East Beach that was another pain in the ass to do if you'd already gotten the adjacent ones, and that parking lot in Jefferson where there's kinda no foot paths for Ballas to spawn on to begin with.

I feel it's better the next GTA has a single ending rather than multiple, not that multiple endings are bad but generally for me single endings feel like a better climax to the story than multiple and even there it feels one ending is vastly better than the other, even in IV where taking down Peg didnt feel nearly as good as taking down Dimitri imo.

Not that they should do away with multiple endings fully but I think it doesn't necessarily have to be the norm.

Anyone feel CJ is kind of mysterious? Like, a lot of the time it felt I didn't know what his exact thoughts in the story were for eg what exactly he thought about his brother, he expressed himself after Sweet is out of jail and says that he wants to get out of the hood but that's put to a stop quickly and nothing more comes out of it. I wanted to know more of his thoughts after all that happened in the Green Sabre, but he gets back to business quickly with Catalina and dealing with CRASH. He seemed to do his own thing in Fierro and Venturas, did he feel any conflicted emotions as he grew from strength to strength while Sweet was in jail and Smoke and Ballas were stifling GSF?

Don't get me wrong I really like CJ but as expressive as he was I felt there was more to him that we didn't see.

But then I thought, maybe it's not necessary to know the protagonist fully, maybe it's more natural just to see their role in the story and then have them as a vessel through which we play the game. After all even Tommy felt that way a bit, what were his thoughts with the Cuban-Haitian conflict and how he played both? Was he even aware working for Auntie Poulet? When did he decide to switch from bringing back Sonny's money to deciding to take over Vice or was it the plan all along? And then there's Claude, we never know what he's thinking

Sometimes it's nice that not everything is spelt out and you have to read between the lines. Maybe I got used to the HD era protagonists where their characters are so fleshed out and their backstories relatively much better explained that it felt I knew all the innermost workings of Michael's mind or all of Niko's conflicted emotions. They are so much more expressive as characters that when I went back to the 3D era I felt the 3D era characters are so much more reserved in expressing their thoughts though they don't hold back in interacting with the mission givers and characters around them, but don't talk much about how they're viewing the whole events unfold.

So what started as me feeling CJ was mysterious made me think about the difference in the approach of protagonists in the two popular eras of GTA, and while I initially felt the 3D era protagonists shouldve expressed their thoughts a bit more (and I still feel they could've shown Tommy and CJ's views about the events bit more) but I now think it's almost a nice change to read between the lines a bit when it comes to these protagonists as opposed to the HD protagonists where almost every view of theirs about events around them is told to you

Pegorino was a lame choice, should have been Bulgarin.

Not sure if it’s just the mobile version but I realised something in LCS about two weeks ago.

The lighting in this game is good. It was something like 7 AM and it was both foggy and a bit shiney. Reminded me a lot of V’s lighting.

I prefer how Liberty City looks in LCS to III

I've just had this thought... we might never in our livetimes see another rendition of Los Santos in a Grand Theft Auto game...

I was thinking if they go for a hypothetical last GTA it could be something like a best hits of GTA in that they'd go for Liberty City, Los Santos and Vice City as the three locations, don't know how they'd manage the travel between cities in free roam especially but I think they'll figure something out

This is all conjecture on my part but I also think Liberty City will be in the last GTA at least as it's where it all started and it's probably the most iconic location in GTA so they'll want to end with it as at least one of the final locations I think

I miss it when the games were still so arcadey that there were some really random over the top fun missions (usually not part of the main story), which a modern game like GTA Online would have to justify with an extremely drawn out Lester monologue and a ridiculous amount of lampshading that misses the entire point of just having fun.

Talking about the SPANKed up suicide bombers in III, the arena survival mayhem against angry cabbies in VC, or just about any RC mission from SA.

Today I started thinking about another related topic - remember when the mission texts used to be quite unofficial while having a lot more character, in moments of success and failure alike?

"Less than four girls working the Fuzz Ball and Luigi won't be happy!"

"DEALER MINCED!!"

"Misty is morgue meat!"

"You couldn't win a raffle, LOSER!"

"Pizza too hot for you?"

"You bailed! Too tough for you?!"

They held back no punches when insulting players for failing, which I imagine no developer is willing to do in 2021. :colgate:

Franklin not able to play tennis is both hilarious and sad for reasons I can't explain. But still wtf?

Which I find funny because he can play golf though. I would imagine that's more of a rich man's sport and more complicated than tennis.

Is it me or is the Roadtrain in SA oversized? I know trucks are bigger than cars but the Roadtrain looks gigantic, it's a whole lot bigger than the other two trucks in the game.

Am I the only one who thinks the clothing options in GTA SA sucked? Most of the clothes you can purchase in the game are just tshirts with random texts and/or icons on them. There's very little material that actually looks fashionable.

They missed and absolute GOLDEN opportunity for a mission failed text in "By The Book"

If you shoot the wrong guy AFTER identifying the target, Dave will get pissed and say the following after his rant:

"Michael, you're an idiot! Steve, Michael's an idiot!"

MISSION FAILED

Michael's an idiot/You're an idiot

On another note, I remember Demolition Man for the Sega CD which had Stallone himself tell you how you suck at the game for dying or picking an easy difficulty.

I saw this sentiment expressed on another thread but I was thinking about this myself before so thought I'd talk about it here.

Roman Bellic is the biggest idiot in the series. He was talking about moving on from the cab business and buying a classy food place, said that was the dream of his life and then he gets the insurance money which allows him to do just that. It's clearly a large sum cause he buys that luxury safehouse in Middle Park with it. So you assume he can move on from the sh*tty cab life and live his dreams.

What does he do? Start another cab business...

I'm not complaining free cab rides are convenient af I love them, but Roman is still an idiot.
