Was the idea of Saints Row TT being entirly different something people said sense release or something people felt when they knew the direction the series was going onwards? Because I don't think Saints Row 3 was THAT different then how some people played/remember Saints Row 2 being.
sabitsuki
kinda wished that they still went with the original idea of sr2 being set in the 70s and sr3 being set in japan for one we've haven't had a proper open world crime game set in the 70s since parallel lines (which given saints row's wacky atmosphere, the game would probably play like the warriors on crack) and ive always enjoyed east asian open world crime game settings especially in the style of the first two saints row games. ngl the story and gameplay in sr2 was great but i think japan would have been a far more interesting setting to continue the story of the boss Edited March 2, 2021 by DownInThePMs

I think I heard Volition joke about buying the rights to the Sleeping Dogs but I think that's them just being huge fans of the game.

Would be cool if Volition made a new serious IP with a dark Punisher-like feel again. KingAJ032304

sabitsuki
this is still the funniest thing ever. the next saints row better have an unscripted event like this. KingAJ032304
Guest
Yeah, but they have a lot about them that sets them apart as well. GTA and Saints Row is a very different vibe. i actually thought the earlier SR games had really interesting worlds.
